Wow. Just what I needed! I bought the double pack, one large/one small. After reading an article about how much lead is present in rice, and how cooking it like pasta was the best way to remove it, I started boiling my rice in a tall pasta pot. I regularly cook 2 cups of rice, twice a week. How to drain it from a pasta pot was tricky. I had been using a medium sized mesh strainer, but I needed to do it 3 times to get all the rice out, and it was still wet. This strainer was a godsend. The large one sat solidly in my sink, and a tip of the pot was all I needed to get 99.9% of the rice in, to drain. It drained immediately and completely, no shaking required, and not one cooked grain of medium size Sushi rice fell through the strainer into the sink.
