Retinol Serum & Renewing Facial Serum

I have used retinol products in the past, and have always had a love/hate relationship with them. I love the benefits of using them, but the drawbacks are a drag. Namely, the peeling, flaking, and shedding of my skin. None of this was a problem with this Tree of Life serum. Now, you might think that's a good thing, but I am not convinced. The flaking and peeling at least let me know that the product was working, having some effect on my skin. I religiously used this Tree of Life serum every night before applying my nighttime moisturizer for about a month. It absorbs well into the skin and allows me to put a layer of moisturizer over top, which I appreciate. I do appreciate that it works on my sensitive skin and doesn't cause any irritation like some other products have in the past. I just don't know if it's doing any good without the telltale flaking that comes from using retinol products. I haven't noticed my fine lines or sun damage disappearing in that time, though maybe more time is needed. To be honest, I probably wouldn't purchase this product again, knowing there are other, seemingly more effective retinol-based products available instead.
