Like the indicator strip

Snapped in easy. I like that it has an indicator strip on the side to tell you when it's getting close to needing to be replaced.

Not Worth The Price
By LARRY ODOM on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2024
You’re far better off buying a box of the genuine Miela AirClean bags and replacement filters. The stand alone Hepa filter is ridiculously overpriced, and not worth the investment. You’d be money ahead if you just changed your bags more often.

Active Carbon version is better

For classic c1 pet and dog perfect. Little issue installing it. However, as I replaced this against what I had, ie active carbon one on hindsight after using vacuum realizing a/carbon suits me better. An area in my home gets focused beams of sunlight. Purposely used 1 yr old a/carbon and did not see any dust flying out. Removed and put the original white standard filter with the dummy cage. Saw dust particles. Then put this new one. Same as a/carbon : no dust particles. In short, a/carbon does what this is doing along with removing odors. A/carbon lasts pretty long. Mine is 13 month old and the time stamp strip still shows 10% white.
Perfect fit for Miele vacuum.

This was a straightforward purchase of a Hepa filter for my Miele Vacuum. As with everything these days, you first have to figure out which filter you need as they all look alike but don’t all fit their canister vacs. It arrived the next day and was a perfect fit!
The SF-HA30 works great on my Miele Classic C1. Documentation is poor, watch youtube install video

I replaced the exhaust filter of my "Classic C1" model with the Miele HEPA filter SF-HA30, that I had to order separately as its not included with the Classic C1 vacuum. Had to lookup a youtube video because the documentation on this HEPA installation specifically is not great. You need to completely remove the black plastic honeycomb and the soft 'Air Clean' microfilter (do not use double filter, either use Air Clean or the HEPA - not both ). Then you angle and push the SF-HA30 HEPA filter into place directly over the opening till it snaps into place fully, making an airtight seal with rubber gasket at the bottom of the SF-HA30 HEPA, good quality. Black mesh on the top of the vacuum lid stays in place and looks washable. Pre-motor filter behind the blue honeycomb has replacement that comes free when you buy Miele GN bags, looks like it gets replaced every other full GN bag.

Stinks up way too fast

I have dogs and allergies (I know, I know) so I have HEPA everything. The dogs stay reasonably clean, but this filter seems to save and multiple the smell. So after about 2.5 months, it's like breathing dog hair. :( I like my Miele vacuum, but it blows out stink dog smell after the filter is less than two months old. I tried using forced air to blow out the smell from the opposite side, but no luck. So no I'm replacing this filter every two months. I would only give this two stars because those first two months of clean air are wonderful, but at $50, it's a terrible value. However, I was able to find a genuine HEPA filter for half price on Amazon, so it's kinda like getting 4 months out of a $50 filter. If it would go at least 6 months for $50 then it would be a 5 star product as I was told by the place I bought it from the HEPA filter should last 6-12 months.
