Works great.

I like that this has an end that you can cut as much off the butter as you like. It's better than a butter tray, as the cover seals it up. Fits one stick of butter just right.

Not very good
By Tabatha L. Trotter on Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2022
At first I thought that having something that actually cut the patties would be great, but then I started using it and it wasn't that great. I didn't think that the silicone would be so flimsy. It wasn't worth the purchase.

simple, nice butter container. The notches on the side make it easy to tell how much tablespoons there is if a recipe calls for it. Purchased one for my dad who needed a butter dish.
Hate them

These are totally inaccurate for a measuring device, as you cannot use the lid to cut straight down through the butter like you are supposed to be able to. The measurement markings are impossible to see unless you are nose to nose with them, because they are merely an indention in the silicone. Once you cut a piece you have to touch it with your fingers or get out a fork to remove it from the container. The remaining butter, after a cut, doesn't stay lined up with the previous cut's marking, so any other cuts using the measuring marks are inaccurate. Small pieces just fall over and are impossible to cut accurately at all. There are just so many better butter cutters out there, I would pass on these. I would have sent them back had it not cost more then they do, to do it.
Worth the purchase with limits

I adore this, hubby thinks it does not work well. You can use it to cut off a slab of butter, but I find that to use it as intended does not work well. I just lift the lid off, use the end, then put it back on. Works well for that. Forget about using it to measure out 1 TB for baking purposes, I don't think it would be accurate enough. Hence, that is why hubby doesn't like it. Silicone is easy to to toss in the dishwasher. Works great at storing the butter in the fridge. I would buy it again.
Not bad, but not really good either

I don't like this as much as I thought I would. It is okay. It does work, but it isn't as neat as I had hoped and the container is a bit too long for the butter section of my refrigerator. The cutting edge is dull and picks up a lot of butter when you use it. You do have to put a bit of effort into cutting the butter. I can't say that it doesn't do what it says it does, but it just is not as nice as I had hoped.
Butter keeper and slicer!

This is one of my favorite purchases!! The silicone is great quality, cleans easy between sticks of butter, and best of all, it doesn't slip in the door of the refrigerator . I prefer not to use the lid to slice, but to use a knife instead. The silicone bends with the cut of the knife to allow the butter to slice and the silicone is not harmed! I have tried slicing with the lid and it works perfect, but I just think of the butter left on it and do not like the lid "dirty"! The measurements on the top of the silicone holder are a plus! It is easy to get just how much you need, as you would with a wrapped stick of butter. I would definitely recommend that everyone have one of these in their house!

love this! I had bought the same thing a year ago from another retailer but the clear plastic cover broke (don't know how). Debated whether to replace the whole thing or just use a glass dish with a lid. Tried the glass dish but did not like (a) the size: fit the butter perfect but too bulky for the fridge door bin that houses the egg container too and (b) annoying to deal with glass while cooking due to the danger of it falling out of my hands and (c) having to grab a knife to cut into the butter for cooking purposes. Finally gave in and bought this and it is perfect. It fits comfortably in the fridge door bin with the egg carton. I use the cover to slice butter for cooking etc. Of course you need a knife to spread the butter. And it's small and silicone so no danger of slipping out of my hand. I plan on hand washing it, unlike the last one, so hopefully the lid won't mysteriously break this time.
Not perfect, but serves my purpose

I like that the base of this butter keeper is silicone. The top/slicing part is plastic, but then, silicone is not firm enough to do slicing, so that is a fair compromise. At least the container the butter rests in is not plastic. The slicer performs fairly well though its edge is not very sharp. For safety reasons, that may be just as well. I would probably remove the top and supply a butter knife for use on the table. It is just the size of 1 quarter pound stick of butter. I like the size, though others may not. Not perfect, but fulfills my purpose of getting rid of glass and all-plasitc butter dishes. I would buy it again.
This is a good little butter dish

This is a good little butter dish. It means I don't have to get out a separate utensil to cut some butter off. The measuring marks are kind of hard to read sometimes, and the color is kind of unfortunate considering everything else in my kitchen is blue or grey.
