Exceeded my expectations for the price, and size was perfect for my king bed!
By ILoveMyKids on Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2017
I bought this at a really great deal, and for the price, you can't beat it. I have a big king-sized bed, and every time I try to order a comforter of any kind, it seems like they barely cover my bed and always seem to be on the short side. I was a little nervous when I read the reviews about people complaining that it was too thin. It is sitting on my bed right now, and feels pretty cushy to me. Is it overstuffed? No, but at this price, would you expect it to be? I looks pretty poofy and feels great, too. I personally would definitely not label it "thin". I also read reviews that said it feels like a sleeping bag, and although I understand why they are saying that now (it has a slight sheen to it and has a thick-type material that IS kind of similar to a sleeping bag, I guess), it actually really looks nice and does feel a lot softer than a sleeping bag. When it rustles around, it also makes a kind of crisp, poofy sound a little like a sleeping bag, but some of the nicest, most expensive comforters I have owned made the exact same noise, too - usually indicative of a plush, comfy, cover. The part that got me super excited, though, was the fact that it covers my king bed appropriately and cascades down the edges with decent coverage. Yay! I honestly was not expecting that for the price. After sleeping last night with it, it was perfectly comfy. Not too hot, not too cold. When winter begins to approach, I plan on using this as an insert into one of my warmer duvets, since it is perfect for that and exactly what I was looking for. If you are looking for a decent insert for a duvet only, you can't go wrong with the price, and you don't have to worry about the aesthetics of it, anyhow. The down alternative is evenly filled in the squares of this comforter, as far as I can tell, even after washing it (again - not overstuffed, but decently filled and reasonably fluffy). As with anything, you get what you pay for. If you want something overstuffed and more luxurious, you need to look elsewhere. If you need a basic down alternative comforter/duvet insert and are on a budget, this will most likely exceed your expectations for the price.

Pretty color, very soft BUT....
By Georgie on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2024
I wanted to replace my old comforter & was primarily looking for one where the color matched my newly painted walls. I personally was looking for 2 things: a good color on both sides & had to be soft. I got the Oatmeal/Dusty Blue one & it met both of those criterias. The colors are beautiful (especially the blue which matches my walls perfectly) & it's definitely soft like I wanted. HOWEVER...(and I did read the reviews warning about this) It is SO THIN! Now not all comforters are super thick. My last one was kind of thin too but it had adequate filling & it kept me warm, so I didn't think it was a big deal. This one, unfortunately, has barely any filling! It's basically a very thin blanket with a TAD bit of stuffing in it. I tend to be more hot than cold, even in the winter which is why I wasn't stressing this but even I have needed at least 1-2 blankets on top now to stay somewhat warm in the last few weeks whereas I know my old one (same price btw) was good on its own. To make matters worse, that TINY bit of stuffing shifted when I washed it (2x now) & it's bulky now. Also, there are slight runs in the threading already & it's brand new. So while I can make do with it (with extra blankets) and I'm happy with the colors & softness, it really wasn't worth the price at all & honestly wouldn't recommend this to anyone because most people who buy a comforter are doing so to stay warm! It'll be great in the spring & summer but otherwise, kind of defeats the entire purpose of buying a comforter compared to a blanket for less money where there are definitely better brands/quality of purchase for the same cost.
