Everydrop by Whirlpool Ice and Water Refrigerator Filter 4

I wanted to wait a while, in this case over a year, to review this filter. I love how fresh and clean the water tastes. Everyone who has had water from my fridge raves about how good it tastes. It has saved me money by reducing my need for bottled water or an under sink filter. I am incredibly disappointed in how quickly the water flow is reduced. All three filters I have used in the last 15 months or so have drastically reduced flow after a couple of months. It starts off great and takes less than 10 seconds to fill a 20oz cup. After two months EVERY filter started taking about 45 seconds to one minute to fill up. At first I thought it was the hose or a mechanical issue with my fridge. I replaced the hose and it was the same issue. Before I pulled my fridge apart or spent hundreds or thousands on repairs, I installed the old filter that came with the fridge. The filter was at least a few years old and I figured it would be the same thing. Not at all. The flow was magnificent. I almost forgot how quickly I could fill a cup. I nearly spilled the water because I had gotten used to the many months of slow flow in between filter changes. Maybe I’m just unlucky, but this is three strikes for me after all three filters did the same thing in the same amount of time. I have one filter left from subscribe and save, but after that I’m looking elsewhere.
