Like A Hall Tree, But For Shoes
By BlankFrank on Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2023
We don't wear our shoes inside the house. I suppose it's one of the reasons that my 20+ year old carpet still looks new. I have (had) a place for my shoes by the front door since the day we received the keys to our new home, but when the grandkids are here and when we have family get togethers there can be as many as 20 pairs of shoes crowded around the front door and the wife insisted I 'do something'. The SONGMICS 2-Tier Shoe Bench/Boot Organizing Rack Entryway Storage Shelf was that 'something' and we could not be more pleased. What I Like:I'm going to use my as stated, for shoes at my entryway, but honestly, this two tier rack could be used for plants or books or virtually anything you'd like to display.Used as a shoe rack, there is a small seating area for those who require a seated position to put on their shoes. I used some sticky back Velcro to place a shoe horn at the end of the bench for extra convenience. The natural bamboo wood looks great. The finish is neatly done, it's free of defects and if for some reason you don't like the natural finish, it could be painted or stained. It ships in pieces and requires assembly. The directions were clear, the pre-cut pieces fit together nicely and assembly was quick and easy. From start to clean-up was about 45 minutes. The style fits in any room. It's sturdy and built to last. The cost. The price point is fantastic when you consider the quality, the design, the sturdiness and the number of potential uses.

Should I charge them for the work I had to do for them?
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2016
I was looking for a two tier (in German Tier means animal LOL story for another time:o) shoe bench. I had Googled for one and this one came up on amazon. I am an amazon prime customer, so why not? It is free shipping. I got it took it out of the box and first thing I notice is that there are too pieces of bamboo surface slats that are completely off and then I noticed there is a support piece on the long bottom piece that came off also. I break out the wood glue and we'll see if that holds it together. So it took me about 45 min. to gather my tools, my glue and put it together. I don't know if I will have to clamp the glued parts together (I probably should have, but my clamps are out in my shed and it is midnight), but I will if it comes apart again. It looks nice and though it did need a little more assembly than it should have required, I will say the table top parts (or surfaces) were for the most part put together. I would have scored it higher if I had not had to do more work than I should have. I will review again later, if it falls apart, but if it doesn't I will leave this post and my score.
