Works Great

These were just what I needed to I clutter my desk. I use a laptop with dual monitors and a keyboard and mouse. Had the two monitors sitting on top of two reams of printer paper as makeshift stands. The dual arms free up much needed desk space. The arms are very well constructed using a solid metal. The arms when folded up are about the size of a car jack and equally as heavy. As other reviewers have pointed out the instructions are minimal. No words and just pictures and the pictures are small but it's not hard to figure out how to assemble. Attach the clamp to the vertical bar with one screw. Clamp the assembled piece to the back of your desk. (I did have to move things around as the back of my desk is against a wall so make sure you have enough room). Slide the nifty wire management piece onto the vertical bar and then slide the arms into the vertical bar. You will need to tighten the screw on the arms with the provided Allen wrench to keep the arm in place so determine the position first before tightening the screw. I set the arms at eye level. Once my monitor was attached the top of the monitor was a about 3-4 inches above the arm and the bottom was about 8-9 inches below the arm. Positioning will depend on where the arms attach to your monitor. I spring clamp would be a nice touch on future models to allow for easier height adjustment as adjusting height once the monitors are attached is more difficult. After tightening the arms in place on the vertical bar, attach the monitor to the arms with provided screws (4 for each monitor) Two different sizes of screws are provided so you'll have an extra set left over. I had to disassemble the stand from my current monitor before attaching to the arms. I have two 22 inch HP monitors which were quite light but the arms definitely feel strong enough to hold heavier monitors especially if you are using a heavy wooden desk like I am using. Because the monitors were so light I was able to hold the monitors in one hand and screw in the screws with the other. You may want someone to help if you are afraid of dropping the monitor or have heavier monitors. Run all cables through the cable management system (two brackets on each arm and the one on the vertical base). Finally, adjust the monitor angles. There are 10 separate pivots on the arms and two by the monitor connection to adjust tilt. I found it easy to get the two monitors aligned properly. You can then tighten the pivots. You have to be careful here as well since the monitors can move while tightening. I ended up only tightening about half the pivots. Overall great value and solid product.

Pretty good, but QC needs a wake up call.

Pretty good but needs work. It's solid in the shaft and most joints but where the monitor connects to the VESA plates, the horizontal joint has 1/4" of play in it no matter how tight you make it. This lets the monitors swing out of place noticeably with the slightest bump. The rest of the joints are sturdy and tight and well made. The clamp has a depth (thickness?) adjustment for thinner and thicker desks but did not come with a hex wrench to move the screws. The 2 that were packaged were too big and lets the monitors bounce ever so slightly. Overall I like it enough to try it out, but will return if I can't get the joints tight. UPDATE: I've started noticing the arms have begun to do the VIVO droop (read other VIVO stand reviews), where the outer sides of the monitors are sagging and cant be adjusted square. There's a 3/4" difference in the height of the inside corner (where the monitors touch, and the outside corners of the monitors.I guess the weight of 2 LG 27UD59-B 27s is too much being under 24 lbs for the pair.
