Not only a great price but a very classy and durable set!

For the price you will never find a better deal! I payed twice as much for a single hardback roller that wasn't as good as both of these. I travel quite often for work and the airports can be ruthless on your luggage but these have held up well not a single part has broken. I also put them in the bed of my truck sometimes and they have been rained on but never let in any water. I'm not saying they're water proof but they are water resistant! Happy shopping!

This luggage certainly lives up to its advertising. It is clean and light and seems sturdy enough. We've taken it on 2 trips so far and it is ok for simple trips. However, we were not prepared for the inconvenience of luggage that opens in the middle. We have packed soft sided luggage for many years and always pack everything together on the deep side then close the lid. We open it the same way - deep side down and nothing spills out. With this luggage, if we pack both sides closing the luggage is a challenge and when we open it after traveling everything on one side tends to fall out. Obvious, but we had not experienced this with other luggage. The luggage works fine for trips where we pack travel and unpack. It works less well for trips where we live out of our suitcases. On balance, not bad for the money.

A great product

These were a screaming deal and seem to be very high quality. The finish won't stand up to airline baggage handlers, but what will? The ten year warranty is a plus. I'm extremely satisfied.

Cracked on first trip

We ordered the Travelpro Inflight Lite HARD SHELL set for our first family trip to Disney. While the trip was amazing, the luggage was not. The first/biggest/primary complaint is that the large case (again, first use) is cracked. Now, I am not so naive to believe that it would have lasted forever, but at least a few trips. At this point, the HARD SHELL is worthless. It collapses on itself, now that there is no rigid support. We chose the HARD SHELL because of the breakables that accompany a family of 4. We were fortunate that none of our valuables broke. Many will blame the airline, but watching the carosell, there were plenty of other HARD SHELL suitcases that only had the expected/acceptable scuffs of being stacked and run though conveyer belts. You’ll notice that I continue to put HARD SHELL in all caps. The only HARD part about the luggage was trying to daisy chain the two. EVERY set of luggage I have ever bought previously came with a link/strap/clip system to keep the two together. It allows you to combine them so you only have to pull one. I had to get creative with a 2 foot rope. The shell was definitely “solid”, but less than HARD. That point also causes confusion on how it broke… Now, the wheels/casters are great. The 360 degree swivel action is helpful in navigating the narrow TSA checkpoints. It also made a great makeshift walker for the 1yr old. I would not recommend this product.
Good looking good value set if you can get it on sale

I've been on a quest to replace my soft-sided luggage with hard-sided. I bought an ABS bag at a bigbox retailer to try it out and liked it. So I decided I wanted better quality so I picked up so Heys polycarbonite set. It was nice, but the set showed up with a broken wheel on the largest bag, so i returned it (if it cant take UPS shipping while in a box, it wont last with the airline baggage handlers...). Then I saw this, and for the name Travelpro and price (I got it as a lightning deal or deal of the day, etc... ), I figured I'd check it out, even though its ABS and not polycarbonite. The ABS seems pretty sturdy - at least as good as the ABS in first bag I bought which cost as much as this set. Yes the zippers are a little sticky as others have said. And I could see it scratching up a bit based on the finish. But its sharp looking and wheels well. If not flying the set is a no-brainer. I also picked up a Ricardo polycarbonite bag (Rodeo Drive), which is a whole other level up in quality, features, etc... but almost double what this set cost me. So a great value, esp for the 120 or so it cost me. But not for the current price of 400+. There you are just paying for a $160-200 set and the Travelpro name. For that money, you can get a poly set elsewhere that has more features.
Great set of luggage.

As airlines trash even the most expensive luggage, so this set is a great buy. I have had very expensive luggage that did not stand up to international baggage handlers, this did. Light, flexible, durable, good wheels. And, if your luggage is trashed, buy another set.
Came scratched, VERY easily scratched.

Looks sturdy, but incredibly scratchable. It was already scratched when we received it, up near the handle. If we didn't need it for a trip in a few days, I'd return it immediately and order something else. I'll update this after our trip, if I can. * Update After First Use * As I thought, the luggage is now incredibly scratched. Overall it held up well, but visually it doesn't look that good at all. If you want something that's going to maintain its appearance after the first week, definitely recommend avoiding. However, this doesn't appear to have affected its ability to actually be a luggage though. It's still very usable and protected all of our items very well.
lightweight and sturdy

lightweight and sturdy. These were exactly what we were looking for. We had another one but realized now with two kids that we needed to have two big suitcases. This holds up as well as my other (more expensive) suitcase. I like the hard case because I sometimes travel with medical equipment (breast pump or sleep apnea machines) and I feel better knowing there is a little more protection with a hard case suitcase. They do get scuffed up more easily but I'm seeking durability, and these do the job.
Great size and quality, except for the zipper which is average

PROS: Great size for both the big case and the carry on Looks really good Wheels work well CONS: The zip is a little stiff I travel transatlantic for extended periods quite often, so a large suitcase i a must. This suitcase combo is a great size for long trips and the carry on is actually also quite roomy and would be perfect for local flights and short stays. I found the zip on the bags to be a little too stiff though, and at one point I was concerned the zipper was going to come off if I put any more pressure on it. This happened with a lot of bags so it wouldn't be so bad to me if the suitcase wasn't so expensive. For this price I expect much better quality. I would recommend this suitcase combo if you can find it on sale.
Not bad when purchased on sale

Overall these 2 pieces of luggage are pretty solid. Good build quality, the larger suitcase has TONS of room, and the smaller one is the perfect size for a carry on. The wheels seem like they will last a while and the handles seem to be moderately sturdy. But for the normal price this is listed at, its definitely not worth it. I picked this up for around 120 and at that price it is a 4 star product, only taking off 1 star for price/quality ratio. Before this luggage set I had a Kenneth Cole Reaction Out of Bounds 20" (priced at $50) and it was very similar in quality to the carry on in this luggage set. Taking off another star for the finish used on the plastic body of these suitcases. They are like scratch magnets! They look very good when new but once they start getting a few scratches that goes down hill. You would think they would have used a more scratch resistant finish.
