Miracle-Gro AeroGarden Bounty

I love this item! Every spring I drag out four grow lights, set up a 4 shelf cabinet, buy lots of seed pods or fill up pots and start watering. Many dont seem to make it and Ive been wondering if all those efforts are really worth it. This grower is convenient, efficient, and most of all grows amazingly strong plants. I started out with prefilled seed pods of herbs provided by the manufacturer. Those did well, but I really was looking to start some crops for the garden. I planted 7 pods with my own tomato seeds. In what seems like a short time, six of the seven exceeded the 2 feet maximum height and I moved them out to the garden using wall of water protection. The shortest was still over a foot tall and has three small tomatoes growing plus about 20 other blooms. When I pulled the other plants out, the roots were amazing, full and long. They have been in the ground for about 10 days and are doing well, about 30 days ahead of the last frost.in the wall of waters. I have reseeded more to have some succession planting. I also moved some of the herbs I grew outside under protection (I live in SW Virginia) A bonus with growing lettuce is no dirt to clean. Just rinse and you are done. This device tells you when to add water, when to add nutrients, and is very attractive on the countertop. Mine is in the kitchen. The light source is bright and looks like sunlight spectrum but the real proof is in the plants. Ive only had this about 3 months, but so far I am truly impressed. An update May 17, 2018. Im attaching a photo of a tomato plant grown from seed in the grower and planted about 2 weeks ago in my garden. A ripe tomato in mid-May in southwest Virginia is unheard of! Im so pleased with the results. After reading the reviews, I can see that some who purchased this item have taken great care to clean it out periodically and use distilled water. I think this will lead to continued success.
