Better than the original t-outliner!
By brett on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2013
First of all I would like to say that I am a barber and have used about every trimmer on the market. With that being said, I will tell you that a lot of barbers will tell you to buy the andis t-outliner or andis styliner 2. They are both great trimmers but for totally different uses. The gtx t-outliner will do what both those trimmers do! I always used the styliner 2 for necklines and bald fading because of the power they have over the outliner-2. But when I saw the gtx trimmer I thought I would give it a shot. I am glad that I did!! It is strong like the styliner and gets close like the outliner 2, the only difference I find is that the gtx trimmer will cut faster. I think that is because it has a different blade then the original outliner 2. Also because it has a 3 prong cord not a standard 2 prong. if you are looking for a solid trimmer to fade/outline or design with then look no further! The only downfall to all of the andis trimmers I have used it that they all get hot. But any trimmer will get hot if you are using it for more than 10 minutes. This is my opinion and other people will tell you otherwise. But I own 7 pairs of trimmers and find myself using the gtx outliner more and more. If your looking for a good all around trimmer then this is a great choice!!

Check The Description
By MDJenkins on Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2016
I received this trimmer today, Jan 17, 2016. I took it out of the box and visually inspected it since I've heard about a lot of damaged, used and knock off products being sold. I immediately noticed that the silver metal band around the top of the trimmer reads "Outliner II". In the pictures the trimmer in the box shows "T-Outliner" however the main picture shows a trimmer out of the box and the metal band reads "Outliner II". Not sure if its a big difference in the product but it seems the band should read "T-Outliner ". Secondly, when I go to the Andis website the GTX clearly states T-Outliner on the metal band. The GTX also states model GTO and on the back of this product it states model G. Not sure if someones switching the case or band or what but its totally different from the Andis site. To top it all off when I plugged it up there was some type of rattling sound inside. Not the chatter that you have to adjust but something else. I'm going to return it and reorder and if I get the same results I will just order from the Andis site and have Amazon refund my money. Update*** The reorder came today and the silver band once again had "Outliner II". I called Andis today and a representative explained that if the case is black with the three prong cord then it is a genuine GTX. The T outline represents the T blade and that the outliner II has the square blade. Do to the fact the blades are interchangeable the metal band doesn't matter. The metal band may have been erroneously placed but the clippers are legit. So I'm keeping the reorder. By the way, there were no rattling noise with this one.
