Unit reacts very quickly to changes in air quality
By Ddras on Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2018
This was very easy to follow directions and put together. I had it up and running in about 10 minutes. I went through the manual so I would understand how the filters work and when each would need to be changed and/or cleaned. I even put a reminder on my phone calendar so that I would know approximately when to do this routine maintenance. After plugging it in, I decided to put it to the test. I set it in automatic mode with the push of a button. After sitting in a good location in my living room, I turned on the ceiling fan. My living room is somewhat dusty, especially during the winter months...and I also have two cats. I set it next to my couch and it immediately went to the blue light. Blue indicates good air quality. Well that surprised me. This room is pretty dusty and the two cats are always in this room with us. So I plopped down on the couch and this thing went into overdrive. I guess my movement within the room caused the unit to notice a change in the air-quality. It then toggled up to purple. Then I decided to beat a pillow in front of it to see if it would get any worse. Red!! Yikes. And I vacuum my upholstery AND pillows twice a week. After sitting and not making much movement in the room it eventually went back down to blue. Once again, If the blue light is present it indicates excellent air-quality. I also decided same time I ordered this to just go ahead and get extra filters. So that way I’m not having to chase them down if they’re on backorder when I need them. I can already tell this is going to work better than the other models that I previously used. Those were made for smaller rooms. Even on the lowest setting those are much louder than this unit. As I sit here, and it’s working away, I can tell it’s not going to be bothersome and it’s right next to me. I’ll update this review if any changes happen or if I notice anything significant about the unit. I did get this unit because I suffer cat allergies. Never did with cats when I was younger, but the one Cat we have is the culprit. I’m hoping this will help clear his dander that floats around in the air. I have also ordered a special hand vacuum for dust mites. Yet another allergy for me. Yay! I’m hoping the combination of these items will help to alleviate my allergy symptoms.

Why no information on Phosphoric Acid packet included in box???????
By H. Phillips on Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2020
Have unit plugged in, attempting to purify the horrible air we are now experiencing -- imagine what it feels like to hear endlessly, "Portland, OR now has the worst air quality on the planet!!!" -- and found inside the delivered box a small mesh envelope, carefully labelled "Phosphoric Acid DANGER" -- with a multi-page, loose-leafed packet of information attached, printed in many languages, but no information about what it is, is supposed to do or be for, or anything else useful to an alarmed citizen in dangerous times. Company does not answer the telephone helpline, online site is useless for this, and so on. NOT HAPPY. Not Happy at all. Some piece of useful information about this small inclusion would have eliminated my concerns................................................................
