Cuisinart Single Serve Brewer Coffemaker

We had an older version of this coffee maker that could easily be used by the elderly and disabled The buttons were raised, the low water indicator light protruded and aided in finding the buttons for those with low vision, and the filter holder and water container snapped into place. The new version of the coffee maker is impossible for use by our elders. Here’s why: 1. Buttons are nearly flush with the surface, as is the low water level indicator. It’s too hard to locate the buttons. 2. The filter holder no longer snaps into place. It fits inside the water container so loosely that it falls out when pouring leftover water into the sink. It must be removed first. 3. The water container no longer snaps into place on the back of the coffee maker, providing physical and audible confirmation that it’s positioned correctly. It’s far too easy to misposition and spill it. 4. Because the buttons and water container are no longer user friendly for the disabled, it’s easy to bump the pod bay lid while preparing to make coffee. If the pod bay lid is bumped as the coffee maker is starting up, the coffee maker may shut off. Then it has to be unplugged in order to reset. We’re going to return it and get something else. The previous version was easy to use by the elderly and disabled. This one is ridiculously difficult.
