Fit perfect, looks nice and is effective.

Aesthetically, it’s very nice and functionally it does the job. Our 1 year old is walking and trying to explore every square inch and this keeps him out of the kitchen/dining space. We used the 2 Panel config, maxed out and it worked perfectly for our 87” opening we were trying to gate. I’m seeing the other videos on here and I don’t think they know how the gate locks. It’s fairly simple to lock and effective. I will say, however, the spring loaded locking mechanism feel cheap and I’m assuming it will break before we’re done needing the gate. If you have trim you may need a spacer to mount it properly. One of the sides has no regard for your trim. Our trim was not tall enough for it to be of concern and we mounted the gate over the trim piece just fine. I opted not to use the plastic feet since I felt it was unnecessary in my case. All in all I’d recommend the gate in a 2 panel config. I don’t have a comment for the 3 panel config. There is a 3rd panel included in the package.

The doors aren't secure... They don't make them like they used to...
By Jennifer Johnson on Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2020
I have a home with open concept living spaces, so my husband and I purchased four of these gates in order to secure such large areas. I had good luck with these gates over 12 years ago when I had my oldest son and felt they would be great to purchase again. Something changed in 11-12 years, and not for the better. The doors don't secure well. I had to secure one of mine with a pipecleaner bc every time my baby would sit and barely lean against the door, it would pop open and she'd fall through. Now we have to climb over the gates if we want to get through. I'm short (5 ft 4 in.), and struggle to climb over the gates safely. I worry bc we have one of these at the base of a set of extremely steep stairs and my baby is a climber. In order to get exact lineup of the closing mechanism, the hinges usually end up getting stuck on top of one another. The final set of gates we put together, we didn't even bother taking off the packaging for the door. Welp, my shortness finally got the better of me and I fell really badly trying to go over one of the gates. I have a really nice bruise to show for it. (Forgive the leg hair. It's really painful to shave right now.). Overall I would still recommend the gates with one exception... They fix the locking mechanism issue.
