Easy, Reliable Egg Cooker That Delivers Every Time – Perfect for Meal Prep and Busy Mornings
By Brady on Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2025
I never thought I’d get excited about cooking eggs, but the Dash Rapid Egg Cooker seriously makes life easier. Whether you’re into hard-boiled, soft-boiled, poached, or even mini omelets, this thing handles it all with almost zero effort. I mostly use it for hard- and medium-boiled eggs, and they come out consistently great. The included measuring cup makes it simple—you just fill it to the line for the doneness you want, pour it in, poke a tiny hole in the eggs with the built-in pin, and hit the power button. That’s it. You can walk away and do other stuff while it cooks. The best part? The eggs peel ridiculously easily. I’ve ruined way too many eggs trying to peel them from stovetop boiling—this totally solves that. Perfect for meal prep, deviled eggs, or just grabbing a quick protein snack. Cleaning is a breeze too. The tray, lid, and accessories wipe clean easily or go in the dishwasher, and the whole unit is small enough to leave on the counter or tuck in a drawer. A few things to note: • If you like soft-boiled eggs, expect to do a little experimenting. The water levels can be finicky, and it’s easy to overshoot and end up with medium or hard. • The buzzer/alarm is LOUD. It’s a fun little tune, but it won’t stop until you shut it off manually—just be ready for that if you’re in another room. • Also, it only makes up to 6 eggs at once (or 12 if you get the larger model), so it’s not ideal for huge batches. Overall, this is one of the best little kitchen gadgets I’ve bought. It’s cheap, convenient, and saves a ton of time and cleanup compared to boiling water on the stove. If you eat eggs regularly, this thing pays for itself fast. Highly recommend.

Nice idea.... poorly executed....
By Jeremy on Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2022
UPDATE: Tried making the omelette again... This time I added no additional ingredients (no peppers). So technically not an omelette. Just a scrambled egg. I started off by using 150% the amount of water the measuring cup states you need and letting it cook till the chime sounded. It was almost completely cooked this time. I did end up adding about 25% of the initial recommended water amount to the base again to continue cooking and that seems to make the eggs just right. It seems that adding anything to your "omelette" (i.e. cheese, peppers, anything...) reduces the efficiency of this egg maker. As you can read below, when I put a few pieces of chopped up peppers in my omelette, it took three cycles of cooking for the eggs to get done properly. I'm not thoroughly impressed over-all with the product, but it is easy to use and is easier to clean up than using a traditional frying pan. As I state below in my initial review.... as long as you don't mind figuring out all the water levels, egg quantities, and time frames needed through a series of random tests.... you may enjoy this little egg-maker! You aren't going to find this info in the instruction manual. -------------------------------------------------- First impression... This is a great idea in theory. However, they did a very poor job of delivering the "whole" product. My personal expectations were to open this product and place a few eggs inside, fill the base with water and push a button. To my surprise, the device says that it will do more than just hard boil eggs. It will also make omelettes and poached eggs. So I decided to have a very basic omelette for breakfast. (2 eggs with some diced up peppers) Well... I went to the instructions to see what I needed to do. Disappointing instructions to say the least. There are no directions on how many eggs you can or should use. Just says to spray your dish with grease spray, put in your eggs, add water to the base, and turn on the power and wait for the chime. I put in 2 eggs, added a couple of pieces of chopped peppers and turned on the machine. a few minutes later, the most obnoxious and non-ending music starts playing to let you know the eggs are done. I opened the lid and the eggs were still liquid. Edges were slightly cooked. So I added a little more water and turned it on again. Waited for the chime..... Nope... still liquid. So I stirred up the eggs and added a full measure of water to make an omelette from the beginning again. Third time was the charm. It finally cooked them completely. Unfortunately I didn't watch the time to see how long this took, but I would guess it took about 15 - 20 minutes to cook a very small 2 egg omelette. My biggest complaint about this product is there lack of information on cooking different types of eggs. If you want hard boiled eggs, the instructions seem to cover this pretty well (Although I haven't attempted to make any hard boiled eggs yet.). If you want any other style of egg.... good luck guessing your way through! I plan to try adjusting water levels from the beginning until I can setup my own # of eggs / Time table. Hopefully I can develop a method to perfect the use of the machine. Cleaning the machine seems pretty simple. No complaints there. Pros: * Great idea if you can get it to cook your eggs timely. * Easy clean up. Cons: * Annoying buzzer. They need to add a way to silence the buzzer (other than pulling the plug). * Instructions are TERRIBLE * Doesn't cook your eggs in one cycle. * Very small unit only allows you to make about two eggs at a time (poached or omelette). * Doesn't seem to save much cooking time. "A" for idea. "F" for execution. Do I recommend this product? Well, if you don't mind playing scientist and figuring out everything on your own through a series of experiments.... why not?!? However, If you want something that you can just plug in and use with instructions, I'd probably say that this isn't going to be a fun experience for you.
