My robot came with a broken spring in one of the wheels, making it inoperable. Ecovacs payed for the return and sent me a newer DM88 model. I have received the upgraded model and it works great. In addition, I also bought a 3-year protection plan with the original robot from SquareTrade which was also extended to the new unit after I sent them a copy of the new robot's packing list. Overall a great customer experience.

Good for a Studio or 1 bedroom
By MY on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2016
My place is about 1,700 sq ft, 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath horizontal layout. My observation: **CAN'T DO 1. The robo-vac can not climb a 1/2 rug if it has the wet-mop component attached to it. So it's irritating, as would it would get stuck, and I would have to left it and put it on the rug, and than it would get stuck again, and lift. You get the point. 2. It can't find the charger if it's cleaning another room. You get lucky if it's on clean the edge duty and it happens to be in the same room as the charge. 3. Does not come with a virtual wall so it can be irritating if for example you want to clean your open kitchen that has no door. Guess if you have door to every room it makes it easier. 4. The side brushes bend easy, as after 2 uses it got bent out of shape. The brushes have a rube holding them, instead of being completely loos for it to snap back. 5. The wet mop in my opinion is worthless. It's like a wet rag constantly dragging behind the vacuum, so after a while it simply just spreading the dirt. NOT sure how they think this would work. Also, the entire pad doesn't even fully touch the floor, so you are virtually doing nothing with it. In theory if it was done right I'm sure it would really work well, like for example the hole pad touch the floor. 6. It gets stuck under the dinning room table, and it would go round and round and round. Which is some what comical the first time, then you think to yourself "Why doesn't it do the rest of the dinning table area. **CAN DO 1. It really does pick-up dust from bare floors really well. Just remember if you have area rugs it wont climb them with the mop attachment. 2. The battery does last for a decent amount of time to really clean about 350 - 500 sq ft. or the edge of your entire place. 3. The remote control had all the functions. I think you if you have 1 bedroom or studio and you need it just to dust, it would be helpful. Hope this help.
