I have a set ($2000+) of Wusthof knives. I bought this set as a wedding gift BUT ended up using it at a football tailgate (emergency situation) and LOVED them. I kept them to use in our outdoor kitchen area. So I bought a replacement set for the wedding gift. I eventually bought a 3rd set for my inside kitchen because they are easy to sharpen, stay sharpened and look way cool! 100% recommend keeping the extra $500-$2000 you could spend on knives and get a couple of sets of these!

Style, not substance

Wanted to love these knives, but ur really just paying for the pretty colors and design. The handles are plastic, and there's no amount of personal cognitive denial that will let you forget this when you pick them up to use them. The blades, meh... cuts better than trying to use your pinky finger, I suppose. But nothing to write home about. We use to have a set of 'W' knives but they kept disappearing, or getting the ends chipped when I invariably decided to use them as a tool around the house.. Got these cause they were inexpensive and fun looking. But really, in this case inexpensive = cheap. Def. wouldn't by them again. Maybe their target demographic was for dorm rooms?
