ZINT MADE ME HAPPILY SWITCH FROM GREAT LAKES!
By Living by the Book on Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2016
I was (the keyword being "was") using Great Lakes collagen hydrolysate for about 3 years. I recently found out about Zint as a result of someone posting about how great it was in a Facebook group that I'm a member of. I'm very particular about certain products; especially those that I use as supplements so I was initially a little wary about spending money to give it a try. However, I did my research before I decided to try Zint and I'm so glad I did. I found that: 1) Zint is a kosher certified (that's important to me), non-GMO (that's also important to me) supplemental product that comes from organic fed, pasture-raised cows and has NO hormones and NO preservatives just like the Great Lakes brand that I had been previously using, 2) Also like Great Lakes, Zint is absolutely tasteless and easily dissolves in cold or hot liquids making it perfect for blending into whatever I'm drinking or eating. In fact, Zint seems to be comparable to Great Lakes in every way except for the price. Zint is significantly cheaper which makes me happy. Oh, and it also comes in a bag instead of a can with a pour spout like Great Lakes. That’s not a problem at all for me; especially when I am saving money for an equally excellent product. Now for those of you who may have heard about collagen but weren't really sure what it was or if you needed it, this is not a scientific assessment, but if you're over 30 you probably do. If you smoke, use chemicals on your hair or nails, you probably do. If you're overweight, you probably need collagen. If you have arthritis, joint pain, dry or “crepey” (i.e., wrinkled) skin, you definitely need to use collagen hydrolysate as a supplement. You may see some advertisements for skin care products containing collagen. Don't waste your money. Collagen is best taken internally. For example, I was visiting my sister and her husband had been complaining about his knees bothering him. I shared my collagen with him and I kid you not he started getting more flexibility and relief from the pain within a week! The health benefits that we're supposed to receive from our food are, too often, missing. Certainly "fast food" takes a toll on us but even when we're trying to eat healthy it’s a gamble. We’re often eating vegetables that are nutritionally imbalanced because they’re grown in soil depleted of nutrients and laden with pesticides and a lot of people simply can't afford to eat 100% organically grown or grass-fed meat. I encounter a lot of "young" people in their 20s and 30s who, although they look healthy, are complaining about arthritis and aching joints in addition to a host of other ailments like hair falling out and brittle nails. What's up with that? Collagen hydrolysate provides us with the amino acids for protein that are essential to the maintenance of our bodies. It may seem mundane but when collagen isn't sufficiently supplied to your body it's like trying to continuously drive a car without oil; eventually it comes to a grinding halt. Collagen is basically the same product found in our bones, skin, and cartilage. Collagen needs to be provided to the body to help sustain bones, skin, and cartilage. A lot of our ancestors used to get their fix of collagen naturally with tasty bone broth, roasted bone marrow, stewed chicken and pig feet, oxtails, etc. And before you think or say, "Ewww!", just realize that they weren't in pain from uncooperative joints in their prime years the way a lot of us are. However, if you're averse to cooking animal parts every week or find that you can't eat enough of them to make a difference, get your collagen the quick and easy way. BOTTOMLINE:I find that when I supplement my diet with collagen hydrolysate I feel better and I look better so I’d rather use that than questionable pharmaceutical products (or even prescription meds) that often don’t work as well and are much more expensive. And when I supplement my diet with Zint collagen even my bank account looks better! Zint saves me money on a great product so I've made the switch!

5TH 2LB BAG, I DO LIKE THIS BRAND OF COLLAGEN
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2016
This is my 3rd 2 pound package that I have purchased. It seems to me that the formula has changed. When I opened the package this morning to put it into a glass resealable container I had a dust cloud that went everywhere. This had not occurred previously. Also when mixing it, it clumped up in my glass which it has never done that. (I did nothing different this morning) After much effort to get it to dissolve...I know there is no taste, but there is a slight taste to it AND even that slight taste and the viscosity of the drink has changed. I would have given it a 5 star on the previous two purchases, but not on this purchase. Zint did you change a good product? Or did I just get a bad lot on the collagen this time? I am updating my original post. Through emails directly with Zint (purchased through Amazon) Zint discovered that there was a possible issue with my bag of collagen protein powder so they replaced it. I was very grateful since the cost has gone up. The new bag was like the previous bags that I had received....in that it dissolved easily and quickly in cold water and it is back to a hint of a taste. Thank you Zint for replacing the expensive bag of collagen. In using this product since April 2016, I would say that I have noticed an improvement in my skin..wrinkles are less. I believe I have had improvement in other areas...but not crazy noticeable like other people have stated.
