Dyson CY18 Cinetic Animal Vacuum

My previous cheap vacuum finally died after years of dealing with its poor suction. I went to a few local stores to find a cheap replacement and ended up deciding that I wanted a quality vacuum but was astonished by the $600 price tags. I have family and friends that swear by the Dyson brand and recommended that I get the ‘Animal’ line as it would do well with my cats’ hair. I tested both the upright and the canister in a local Bed Bath and Beyond to determine which I liked better, and found that the upright was better for carpet whereas the canister was better for hardwood and stairs. My house is several stories and is all hardwood/tile so I decided the canister was best. Being skeptics of the massive ‘on sale’ price tag at Bed Bath and Beyond, I decided to come home and shop around. Theo refurbished deal was almost a third the price and had everything I needed. I ordered it immediately thinking it must be a mistake! The Dyson came in a few days later and came with way more attachments then the $600 one did! It did come in a non branded brown box, but otherwise it seemed brand new. The vacuum works fantastic and picks up everything including all cat hair. The upholstery attachment works amazingly to grab everything on all materials I tried it on. Dragging the canister around is a litttle weird and makes me feel like I’m being followed by R2D2 , but I got used to it quickly. The best hidden benefit is that my wife loves it, and actually enjoys vacuuming now because it’s way less work then with the cheap model that had to run over dirty multiple times to pick it up. Love this thing and love my clean house!!
