Worth every penny.

I've owned a bunch of stud finders over the years and honestly, most of them were junk. They'd sort of work sometimes, but it was always a guessing game. This Franklin Sensors ProSensor 710+ is on a whole different level. The 13 sensors and all the LED lights show you exactly where the stud is - no guesswork, no trial and error. It's fast, accurate, and just works. I'm not a contractor or anything, just a regular DIY home guy, but this thing feels like pro-level gear. Worth every penny.

It has been fine for standard walls with drywall on 2x4s, but it was worthless in a more complex setup. The $10 magnetic unit was better. But I think I should have invested in a unit with a screen display. This bulky, awkward to use stud finder will still have value, but it is NOT worth the high cost.
