Hard to find - perfect size
By C. Pike on Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2024
The TECHEF Onyx Collection 2.8-quart Soup Pot is an absolute gem! It's the perfect mid-size pot—not too big, not too small, just right for everything from soups and stews to sauces and side dishes. I’ve searched high and low for a pot this size, and let me tell you, it’s nearly impossible to find something comparable. Most had just the one handle. I wanted two. This pot fills that elusive gap in your kitchen lineup when you don’t need a massive stockpot or a tiny saucepan. The pot heats evenly, and the non-stick surface is a dream come true. Cleanup is quick and effortless, which is always a bonus. Plus, the glass lid is sturdy and lets you keep an eye on what’s cooking without having to lift it off. The design is sleek and modern, fitting right into my kitchen’s aesthetic. It feels durable and built to last, like something you’ll have in your kitchen for years to come. Overall, it’s a fantastic, hard-to-find pot that checks all the boxes. Highly recommended!

Difficult to clean
By Ken the Duck Dawg on Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2024
I got this pan to make pasta & french style rice. In that role, it is a failure. It is impossible to clean. As it is "nonstick", that is almost impressive. First the good things... Works well on Induction. I tested it against my sitram ss saucepan by bringing water to a boil. Same amount of water, same burner, came to a boil in the same amount of time. HOWEVER, as this is nonstick, I wouldn't routinely use my "Power mode" for boiling as that is hard on the nonstick finish. As the Power mode issue applies to all nonstick, this didn't factor in. Well made. Nice weight. Not too heavy, not cheap and flimsy. The lid fits well. It does have a vent. I have been using it for several months. There are no chips in the finish. Looks good. The outside finish continues to look nice. Not essential for cooking. But doesn't hurt. Now the downside, it isn't nonstick. I boil water for pasta or rice. So far, that's all of I have done with it. As expected, I get the ring of starch at the waterline. The ring is almost impossible to clean away. I have always washed by hand using Scotch Brite Dobies. I can wash as soon as the pan is cool, after soaking, etc. Makes no difference. The last time, I couldn't get that ring to go away. At this point, I expect that the pan will get worse & worse until I discard it. And it is just pasta or rice. I thought this would be trivial.
