Best Grinder for Saffron So Far!
By Simon on Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2017
Saffron stigmas are among the most expensive spices, and because they are very oily and extremely light, not all grinders support them. I needed something easier and less messier than the mortar and pestel for grinding them, so I contacted a couple of companies, but Cole & Mason was the only one who took the time to actually test saffron threads in their grinder and send back positive confirmation. I can attest to their findings, and Kingsley Spice Grinder indeed does a fine job grinding saffron stigmas into fine powder suitable for cooking or brewing. I did put about 18 grams of high quality saffron threads in it, as seen in the picture, but it can hold a little less than 30 grams. This product has much better quality than the usual saffron grinders that I bought online and broke after a few months. YMMV. Thanks for reading the mini review.

this was advertised as a flax seed mill. Bogus! We tried all the settings and, after turning and turning many many times, barely anything came out. This product may do well as a whole pepper grinder, but DO NOT purchase as a flax seed mill.
