ULTIMATE in personal coffee delivery systems!

This is the ULTIMATE in personal coffee delivery systems; yeah, I think I just made up that descriptive - but it's true. I love this so much, I got one for home and one for work. I get funny looks at work, but it's mostly jealous looks, wishing they had one.Ok, the PRO aspects of this coffee maker:* PRICE* It works!* Easy cleanup* Simple to use* Built in filter avoids wasted paper, along with that added cost* Overall VALUE - if you drink coffee and coffee is important to you: GET THIS!There are so many other good things about this, including its style; looks great anywhere.I won't call these "CONS" necessarily, but ways to improve the product:* NO auto shutoff; I've accidentally left it brewing for nearly an hour, as I got stuck at my desk. Coffee in the cup was cool, but the maker was still powered on. That is kind of a safety issue and should be fixed.* The included filter will clog and overflow if you use a grind that is too fine; think Gevalia pre-ground. I'm just glad for the easy cleanup* Sturdiness of the plastic seems like it could be improved; during cleanup, I feel like I could easily break/crack the plastic - I haven't yet, but it has that clunky feel about it.

Great when it works but has a short life - worthless warranty

I first ordered this coffee maker because of the great reviews and cost. It does make good coffee and is easy to use but our first one died after 3 months. We tried to do a warranty claim though the company but forget it... their customer service bites. After at least a dozen emails and multiple request for videos of a non-functioning DOA unit (every time we sent a video there was some reason it was not correct???) we gave up after a month correspondence. The time we spent on this was not worth the price f the coffee maker. Against my better judgement my wife ordered a 2nd one when it was on sale. Since the unit does not have an auto off function I thought maybe my wife had left it on too long. Because of this I bought a timer switch that automatically turns off after 5 minutes thinking that this would avoid the issue on our second unit. That unit also failed after a few months. The timer switch I bought did not solve anything. Unless you want a paper weight that looks like a cheap coffee maker avoid this like the plague. The warranty is worthless.
