Upgraded and much better than previous reviews

Bought this one for a fraction of the cost as a Amazon Warehouse deal and could not be happier! Box had a tear but fan was pristine. Putting the ring on around the fan cage was the hardest part so putting in in a hot water bath in the sink helped with that process. Once it cooled after it was together, it was tight and secure. Old reviews stated this one had no memory recall. It does now! Previous setting retained which is great! No bright led light either so no issues in a bedroom. Yes, you have to use 7 or 8 if in a bedroom setting as DC motors are like this with multi speeds but the power use is less I believe so that works for me! This one is quieter than my old stand fan and time will tell if it gets a dry bearing like most do these days after a couple of years of daily use. We don't use the osculate so cannot comment on that. Base is heavy and stable. No bad vibrations.

Not as quiet as other fans
By Carla Balch on Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2022
The fan moves air well. Over a couple of months, the sounds/vibrations in the fan became louder. I tightened the fan blade, which had become loose. The noise makes it difficult to use while working.

It’s def pricey, need 8 level to closely match my old smaller metal 2001 desktop fan that was more powerful, quiet, with greater oscillation. This fan: Con: Tilt; This fan’s manual tilt is limited to 2 inches max, & can be tilted in 1 position; fairly delicate too bc it’s plastic. Oscillating degree: limited to 160 degrees; not 200 which really moves air in large room. Pros: It oscillates smooth & quietly @ under power 7. At level 8 it gets noisy but air moves better than all other new fans I bought. 9 & 10 are loud & higher pitched, so it’ll keep light sleeper awake, or become noise nuisance in quiet home office, but air will be blowing strong across a room, but not beyond 20 feet. There’s a turbo power that’s useless to me due to LOUD noise & entire fan vibrates; one must shout to be heard @ that level. Turbo is for short term use per manuf. Materials: Most of fan is fairly sturdy plastic. Some parts are covered metal. Control: If not using remote, pole has 3 smooth control buttons that beep loudly & light up whenever pressed: bottom button is for off/on; middle fan power; top for oscillating. It remembers last power setting = convenient. When off, Need light to see control buttons bc it’s as smooth as pole. Noise: Levels 1-6 are quiet but u need to be close to fan, 3 -4 ft away max, to feel air move. Assembly : not too complicated; time to assemble about 20 minutes. Pole has extra 2 ft extension if need higher fan, just screw it on. Height not adjustable by sliding. No clicking or odd noises yet in 1 month of light use. Space: need 2 1/2 feet area to place fan, stand is sturdy; fan cage is bit wide & deep , so taller being / pet / child can bump into it. Fan cage is Bigger than it needs to be & conspicuous. Con: cord is short, so u need close outlet. Conclusion: Of 5 recent fans purchases, this is BEST due to QUIETNESS & air movement. But this fan, like all other new fans I bought, fails to perform like my old 2001 no assembly small 12 inch powerful metal desktop quiet fan with press control buttons, better tilt, greater oscillation. Gripe; Travesty no corp makes long lasting metal fans with better blades & motors like my old one, or ANY long lasting products. Greedflation & tons of garbage from costly short term made items is last thing this overpolluted garbage saturated planet needs. Like me, many thousands reviewers in all sites desire resurrection of their old effective fans that lasted decades.
Very Powerful and Quite - Highly Recommended

This Avalon High Velocity 16 Inch DC Stand Fan with Super Silent Technology, and Remote is powerful and very quite! We have a large training room that is difficult to keep cool in the hottest months of the year and have used fans in the past to keep the air moving, but most of them have been too loud to use during the classes. This fan is so quite that we can leave it running while the teacher is presenting! The fan took me about 5 or 10 minutes to assemble by myself, without needing any additional parts other than what was included. This is quite sturdy and moves a good bit of air on all of the settings. All of the modes and controls can be accessed via the control panel on the fan or via the included remote control. The remote is easy to figure out and can be attached to the included hook in the pole. While this has a silent mode, it is actually fairly quite in all of the modes and while using the oscillation. Highly Recommended! CFH Note: sample provided for unbiased evaluation and review

This fan is versatility plus in fan air flow. The many fan adjustments and settings are just what I wanted. I like the remote but the cover is hard to remove. The fan appears to be high quality. The various ways you personalize this thing is perfect for people who want lots of flexibility in where and how you want the air to flow. Very quiet and the control is accurate and effective. Highly recommend this fan for picky people.

This fan is worth every penny. It has several modes, several speeds in each mode., oscillates, and the greatest thing.....it has a remote! Several things we like about this fan. In quiet mode, it is VERY quiet. In standard mode, it is still quieter than most fans in this class. It's not loud by any stretch. The fan height is perfect. From the floor to the top of the fan cage is 4'. The extension allows the fan to extend another 8". The fan measures 18" from right to left when measuring the cage that encloses the fan blade. The blade is a 5 propeller blade. The fan blade itself is clear plastic. This allows you to easily see through the fan. For instance, you could still watch TV if this fan was placed directly in front of you without much obstruction. Did I mention this fan is quiet. Wow. The fan does not require any tools to assemble and I had this unit assempled and operating within 10 minutes. The fan is well packaged and protected. I would be surprised if anything was damaged during shipping given the packaging used. Even with rough abuse, it would be difficult to break anything. The packaging is that good. The blue led light display is bright enough to see in the daytime and easy to read. The fan comes with directions on how to dim the led light if desired. The remote is very simple and easy to use. High marks for high quality and a fan that we're very happy with.
Exceptionally Quiet Fan, Lots of Settings, But Not Quite Perfect

We always have a fan running all night in our bedroom. Whenever we would replace one, the speed setting for low would either be faster or slower on the new one and it took time to get accustomed to the change. So, with our old one soon needing replacement we set out on a search to find a stand fan that had infinite speeds available. Although this one is not infinite, it has many, many more settings than any fan we've come across, and more than we'll ever use. And, this is without a doubt the quietest fan we've ever owned. That said, although it is nice, it is not perfect. As some reviewers pointed out, the blue digital display on the fan is exceptionally bright and particularly annoying if you're using it in the bedroom at night. Although there is a function available to turn the lighted display off, sadly it is only programmable on the fan unit itself and cannot be activated via the remote control. Had the manufacturer made the display able to be dimmed, or even made it red, it would not have been so bright. After using this fan for a while there is one other improvement we would recommend: When you get the fan to the setting you want and then turn it off, when you turn it back on it should come back on at your previous setting. Instead, it always turns on to a default setting of "Normal Wind Level 10," Then you must go through several processes to get back to the setting you want. As for the remote itself, there is a dial which you turn to set the speed. It can be difficult to get the thing turning. Seems like it was made for someone with small hands and strong fingers. I note that another reviewer stated that he had problems with his remote. We also had an issue with our remote--the off button would intermittently fail to operate and we'd have to turn the power off on the fan itself rather than with the remote. We contacted the seller who was very, very cooperative in resolving this issue to our satisfaction. So, in summary, if you're looking for an exceptionally quiet fan with a lot of speeds and settings and you don't mind a bright display, although rather pricey this could be a good choice for you.
Quiet energy efficient fan that really moves air.

This is a great fan, nearly silent at speeds 1-6. 7-10 the sound is easily droned out by normal household sounds. 11-12 you can hear some wind noise, but the fan is really blowing hard at this point. Remote is line of sight and works well enough. I strongly recommend this fan and will likely purchase another.

So far, so good with this fan. I've sometimes left a glowing review too quickly only to be disappointed shortly down the road so I'll update when I've had some real use out of it. I do want to say that I saw quite a few reviews where people have complained about the brightness of the blue LED display while trying to sleep. The display is quite bright in a dark area.... and this may be a new feature...... but my LED display automatically turns off after 30 seconds and is completely dark. Just an FYI for those who looked at purchasing this fan but didn't due to the reviews saying the display was too bright. As of now, only a few days in, I'm quite impressed with the velocity of this fan and even on the regular fan setting (as opposed to the quiet mode) it's a really quiet fan. Okay, I'm back to edit my original review. My fan has suddenly began changing speeds AND even modes all by itself. I have the remote sitting right next to me on a table, there isn't anything anywhere near the remote and the fan is changing speeds. It seems to want to be set at the highest speed on normal mode or to turn itself off completely. Even after resetting the speed and mode it changes itself to something different or turns off. I even tried turning the remote to where it is not facing the fan and taking the remote into another room and the fan still changes itself, so it's not a remote issue but actually an issue with the fan itself. I do hope that I am NOT the only one who has experienced this?
