Absolutely Adorable

Sooooo adorable. My son loved the playset and he loved Chloie the Carefree cat even more. By far the best gogo smart wheels set I've ever bought and my son has a bunch of them. I just wish i could figure out where i could buy the rest of the animals right now.

Fun, but I'm disappointed.
By Aimee Parlier on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2016
I bought this toy for my daughter's first birthday. Ultimately it is a fun toy, but potentially disappointing for older children (and adults). My one year old thinks it's great to chew on, which seems to be her default assessment so far. I remember envying toys similar to this when I was a child, so I was really excited to open it on its arrival. I was initially overwhelmed by sheer number of pieces in the set. I found the instructions confusing because they were tiny, and there were SO many pieces after all. I tossed the guide aside and used the box to figure out where each piece went instead. That worked well, except that a few pieces were a different color on the box. One piece, mine was red and looked like a fin, goes horizontally under the second floor, if you get stumped by it too. It only ended up taking a half hour or so to put it together, minus all the stickers. There are seriously a ton of stickers needing fairly precise placement!! I will put them on if we're keeping it but I'm not even bothering so far. Couldn't they have attached *some* for us?? Of course there are a few attached already, so yes, they could have and they didn't. The pieces come apart so easily! I'm so glad it was easy to put together because since I initially put it together- I have done so again and again probably 15 times. Most of the main house stays intact, but the tree arch over the slide has found its destiny to be that of a handle for my beautiful girl to rip the whole right portion off the main house. That portion, while not big, claims ten mostly small pieces, and I have to put it back together over and over and over and over again. Fun for older kids to do, not great for the (parents of the) youngest age in the designated range. The hammock also comes apart really easily and the creatures spill out of it at the mere hint of a tilt; it's really stupid. The playland's functionality disappointed me the most; she doesn't notice it yet. The animals' performances are spotty, and underwhelming when functional. I also bought her the dog, the elephant, and the panda. They do not always activate on the designated activity points. When they are perfectly positioned and do activate, they are sometimes confusing. I put a panda on a chair and he told me he wanted to go. In all fairness the cat does say something vaguely appropriate about half the time, and the other half does nothing. All the animals know to sing on the stage (that activity point works fairly reliably), so knowing that kind of reaction is possible, I want it from each point. That is far from what I have seen here, sometimes it just plays a sound, the cat meows, or says a few generic lines/songs, "I can't wait to play with my friends!" (Which, as a side note, is a little rude right?? Lol!) It's okay for now because there are other ways to activate the creatures if a response isn't automatically triggered, but if she were older and understood what to expect, she would frequently be disappointed. The animals also sometimes fly off the track or stop halfway down, and the little girl in me sighs in frustration each time. My daughter adored her vtech table and walker thing, so this purchase felt like an easy decision. It is able to keep her attention for short stretches so far, but not nearly as well as the table and the walker used to. The hard decision now is whether or not to keep it....Whoops! I have to go she literally just turned the whole thing over, ripping it off the base and onto herself. She's happily chewing on a liberated slide, but I better free her as well. I will update if I decide to return it.
