Great Blades

I purchased blades from this same retailer a year ago and they were terrible. I never got a very good shave and the blades just seemed dull. As others have described, the center plastic spool was purple. While I was reluctant to purchase from them again, I did so just a few days ago. The center spool on these blades are gray and came in a Norelco box. They're genuine Norelco blades. These most recent blades from this retailer are great -- a nice close shave in a short time. I suspect that Norelco has changed suppliers and the previous purple blades were from a lousy manufacturer. The new blades are wonderful. I chose this retailer over one other listed on Amazon at the same time because these were about $10 cheaper -- I'm glad I didn't pay more.

Apparently, they reduced the number of cutting edges over the years

I bought these for a norelco 3 head razor that I bought some years ago. I have used the original blades for many years and had a comfortable and smooth shave. Last month, the blades finally failed. They broke through the outer shield and wouldn't work anymore. I ordered these, thinking that they would be the same. They came in a Phillips box, but they aren't the same. The old blades had 15 cutting edges each. These have 9. They pull on my beard and hurt me. I can partially compensate by moving the razor more slowly across my face, but it is not a complete fix. I still get a smooth shave, but it is not comfortable. Update, after 2 weeks I find that the blades pull less now. Maybe they just needed to work themselves in. Anyway, not perfect but much better. From 1 star to 3 stars.
