Great for cat hair on furniture and bedding
By A.Singer on Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2019
UPDATE Nov 2021: I downgraded from 5 stars to 4 stars. I still love this furlifter and use it a lot, but over a year ago a small piece of the rim on the plastic part that fits into the bottom of this unit broke off and that tiny change meant that the part no longer fit snuggly into place. So the bottom was open for awhile until I found the bit that broke off and glued it back in place. It's still not the same, the bottom falls off, but I still use this gadget. I do think that the bottom cover should be available as a replacement part though because without it, junk falls out of the bottom. Nonetheless, I really like the design and functionality of this brush, it's very effective. I may use some low-tack masking tape to hold the bottom on to keep the junk inside until I'm ready to dump it. *********************************************************************************************** This FurLifter (large furniture size) works really well. It's the best and easiest way to lift hair off our sofa. We have a large Maine Coon and wow, he leaves behind a lot of hair despite combing and brushing. In the past I've tried using wide tape, wet paper towels, a rubber glove, sticky rollers, and other means to clean the hair from our furniture. It all helps to some degree but a swipe of this FurLifter really picks up far more hair at one time. True that it doesn't cover a whole lot of territory before you must insert it back into the holder then pull out to clean it, but it's so fast to do that that I don't mind. Also, I find that I use this thing daily to do quick clean ups of things where Floki lays regularly, and then when I have time I use it more seriously. I no longer use the other methods. If I keep the hair cleaned up regularly, it simply doesn't build up to be a big mess and a much bigger task for cleaning. I did have a big furry mess on the comforter on our bed (see attached video). I intentionally let it go for over a week though because I wanted to see how well this wand would clean it up. I've attached a video. There's a lot of hair on the comforter so that you can really see what this thing picks up in a swipe. I'd swipe with one side of the wand, then turn it over for another swipe with the other side, then stick it back in the holder to clean it. It took less than 5 minutes to clean the whole queen-sized comforter of hair and it does a really thorough job. No more sticky rollers on the beside tables waiting to be used! The main thing is to be sure to observe the direction the arrow is pointing on the wand. If you use it in the opposite direction, it won't pick up hair. And clean out the holder regular. If you don't you could end up with stray hair on the wand when you pull it back out instead of cleaning it well. It does bend slightly to make it easier to swipe rather than have to lay completely flat all the time. I find this handy. I hope they never stop making this thing because we don't want to be without it!

With two cats the need to remove lots of hair has quickly become a staple. Lint rollers work perfectly, but then you have nasty sticky paper after to throw away that's terrible for the environment and costs more over time. For the purposes of general cleaning, these brushes work. You can get rid of a lot of hair on furniture quickly and easily, with a convenient means of disposal. The problem comes to clothes; these are terrible for trying to get rid of all the stray hairs on your nice coat or pants. I bought the travel size and the largest one and neither have proven to satisfactorily remove hair anywhere near as good as lint rollers, to the point that I unfortunately could not fully replace the lint rollers as a way of tidying myself pre-work. In that regard the product is a bit of a fail. But as I said, for general home maintenance, it works decently. But look for other solutions when it comes to thorough removal on clothes, because I sure am.

Update: I've been using this for over 2 years now every day and the handle just broke. I'm definitely ordering another one! I have to admit, I didn't expect too much from this product but wow am I pleasantly surprised. I have two cats that sleep on the bed and on blankets and run in and out of the windows in the same spot leaving hair everywhere they go. I've been using rollers and upholstery tape sheets for years and decided to give this a try. I've used small ones on clothing but wasn't very impressed so the fact that this removes so much hair is amazing, and I don't have to keep using multiple sticky sheets for each application. It's a little hard to get in and out of the cleaner but I have found if I have shoes or flip-flops on I can hold it with my feet and easily pull it out. The directional arrowz are not that hard, you brush in the direction of the area which is typically the way you're going anyways, but maybe with the other hand. I have found with the cat hair that if you brush it against the side of the hair it comes up easier, rather than with the hair I would absolutely recommend this product. As I said the amount of hair this removes is amazing and I dont have to worry about roller refills.
Works Well, Hard to Clean

This works wonders for removing pet hair from my furniture! My only complaint is that it is hard to keep it clean inside and smelling fresh. I have tried spraying it with fabric freshening spray, but it continues to smell musty.
Finally this works great!

so we have a long haired foster cat and this Works great. on a reg lint brush you always have to stop and scratch off the lint it takes awhile :( Not with this I love it) I now have 3 sizes a personal purse Small one that there out of stock now. a medium one for clothes and a twin bed. Also the furniture brush which is the biggest. use it on doulble beds and up, use it on furniture & larger spaces. To be successful and quick here is my tips: I hold the brush in my dominate hand and the holder in the other hand. I brush the direction of the arrow quick medium strides then push it in the holder when i see lint or in my case cat hair as i move around the furniture. Quickly pull it out and repeat until the bed is done, and it doesn't take long! Other places used it is car , rugs in house , on the pillows, because this cat is one giant furball (and yes i brush her out before i start too, on her I use a cat wire hairbrush on her in the morning to get extra loose fur off her too) It is insane how she sheds . I have had lots of cats but none that shed as much as her . This tool is a blessing and a time saver !

Better than chom chom - get this one

I have two dogs and I loved my Chom Chom until it got older and dirty. It left dust/dirt marks on my dark velvet sofa. Hard/impossible to wash, and a pain to scrape hair off it. This OXO version is similar in the way it picks up hair but has some advantages. When you insert the wand in its holder, all the hair gets automatically scraped off. Also very easy to wash/dry and keep clean. The flexible head makes it very handy for couch cushions. I use it daily on my couch and I love it.
So simple

If you live with a dog, a cat, or several of each, and then you know the problem of hair everywhere. I got tired of using sticky rollers and having to throw away the sheets every three seconds, and decided to try this. It works very well on both clothing and furniture. It's also great that it comes with a base that removes the hair every single time. It doesn't do so perfectly, but does save you some work in the cleanup process. Plus, all you have to do is empty out the bass into the trash and then one fell swoop, all the hair is gone. The best part is not having to feel wasteful with all of that sticky paper you're throwing away. I'm so glad to have a reusable option for years to come.

I have two dogs and two cats. One of those dogs being a German Shedder I mean Shepherd. This tool is amazing for before company comes over. Works perfectly on couches, chairs, and couch covers. Doesn't work great on bedding or clothing but for upholstered items it is a dream come true. I only wish it was bigger so I didn't have to remove the hair from the bottom so often. Great product, worth the money
I like...!

I had all three: FURNITURE BRUSH (FB) (SEE PHOTO), the GARMENT BRUSH (GB) and the On-the-Go brush (OT). They all have different applications: The FB is much bigger than the medium GB! This is not necessarily better. It has unlike all others a inclining wobbling TILTING feature to reach curvy lines - for better -, yet it does make it much harder to handle. Since it’s much longer it may reach hidden places where the GB can no longer handle! Both remove hair excelsiorly! Not so the little OT: The tiny not only has just ONE direction, instead of the both sides to remove hair in either direction, it also is stuck to the handle making the removal space not only way smaller, yet the handle itself IMPEDES the direct contact to the garment surface! Besides... the one - only directing can be getting it IMPOSSIBLE to slide along wearing clothes! USELESS. I’d go with the medium (GB) IF this one allows to reach all areas. When not, get the large one (FB). NOTE: the advertised “hair falls automatically out after cap removal “ is FALSE! It never ever falls out by itself. It does, though conglomerate at the tip when enough is collected for you to pull it out in a bundle. OVERALL, I like this product of a kind... I haven’t found an even better one.
Great but mislabeled

Let me explain. This is my third time purchasing this item. The arrows that are there to say which direction to slide the lifter in order to pick up hair, lint, etc, are reversed. I figured it out right away, but a first time buyer might think it wasn’t working. It shouldn't have happened, as the brand is known for quality and the item isn’t cheap.
