Great for cat hair on furniture and bedding

UPDATE Nov 2021: I downgraded from 5 stars to 4 stars. I still love this furlifter and use it a lot, but over a year ago a small piece of the rim on the plastic part that fits into the bottom of this unit broke off and that tiny change meant that the part no longer fit snuggly into place. So the bottom was open for awhile until I found the bit that broke off and glued it back in place. It's still not the same, the bottom falls off, but I still use this gadget. I do think that the bottom cover should be available as a replacement part though because without it, junk falls out of the bottom. Nonetheless, I really like the design and functionality of this brush, it's very effective. I may use some low-tack masking tape to hold the bottom on to keep the junk inside until I'm ready to dump it. *********************************************************************************************** This FurLifter (large furniture size) works really well. It's the best and easiest way to lift hair off our sofa. We have a large Maine Coon and wow, he leaves behind a lot of hair despite combing and brushing. In the past I've tried using wide tape, wet paper towels, a rubber glove, sticky rollers, and other means to clean the hair from our furniture. It all helps to some degree but a swipe of this FurLifter really picks up far more hair at one time. True that it doesn't cover a whole lot of territory before you must insert it back into the holder then pull out to clean it, but it's so fast to do that that I don't mind. Also, I find that I use this thing daily to do quick clean ups of things where Floki lays regularly, and then when I have time I use it more seriously. I no longer use the other methods. If I keep the hair cleaned up regularly, it simply doesn't build up to be a big mess and a much bigger task for cleaning. I did have a big furry mess on the comforter on our bed (see attached video). I intentionally let it go for over a week though because I wanted to see how well this wand would clean it up. I've attached a video. There's a lot of hair on the comforter so that you can really see what this thing picks up in a swipe. I'd swipe with one side of the wand, then turn it over for another swipe with the other side, then stick it back in the holder to clean it. It took less than 5 minutes to clean the whole queen-sized comforter of hair and it does a really thorough job. No more sticky rollers on the beside tables waiting to be used! The main thing is to be sure to observe the direction the arrow is pointing on the wand. If you use it in the opposite direction, it won't pick up hair. And clean out the holder regular. If you don't you could end up with stray hair on the wand when you pull it back out instead of cleaning it well. It does bend slightly to make it easier to swipe rather than have to lay completely flat all the time. I find this handy. I hope they never stop making this thing because we don't want to be without it!

Works....kind of

With two cats the need to remove lots of hair has quickly become a staple. Lint rollers work perfectly, but then you have nasty sticky paper after to throw away that's terrible for the environment and costs more over time. For the purposes of general cleaning, these brushes work. You can get rid of a lot of hair on furniture quickly and easily, with a convenient means of disposal. The problem comes to clothes; these are terrible for trying to get rid of all the stray hairs on your nice coat or pants. I bought the travel size and the largest one and neither have proven to satisfactorily remove hair anywhere near as good as lint rollers, to the point that I unfortunately could not fully replace the lint rollers as a way of tidying myself pre-work. In that regard the product is a bit of a fail. But as I said, for general home maintenance, it works decently. But look for other solutions when it comes to thorough removal on clothes, because I sure am.
