Power button failed after 2.5 years

This scale worked well for coffee beans for espresso shots. However, after 2.5 years, the power button no longer functions. It is currently stuck in the on position so I have to take the batteries out when not using. I tried to take it apart to see if I could fix it but after removing the 3 tiny screws on the back, it still won't come apart. While it was cheap, I expected this to last several years, not less than 3.
