A very sturdy, comfortable, and nicely finished big and tall desk chair definitely worth considering.

I thought I had already reviewed this chair, but when I came back to update it, I discovered that I was wrong.I am NOT a small person - I'm over 6' tall and weigh a lot more than I should (used to be a competitive weight lifter and never stopped eating ... sigh). So at 290lbs I give this chair a good workout.I've been using it for over 18 months now, and it is holding up beautifully. Yes you can tell that someone sits in it regularly - but then my work day (home office) is typically 07:00-19:00 or later, so that's reasonable. The cushions and frame are in essentially almost new condition, and it has given me no problems. Also it is comfortable enough that I don't find myself looking for other chairs on line ...PRO's:The height is very adjustable and it's on the tall side. My desk has a top at about 34" and the chair matches it whether I want to set up tall OR let the chair down to slide it up under the desk on those rare occasions when I'm awake and not sitting in it.The gas cylinder is still working perfectly (I've had them go out at any age from 9-months up, so I'm pleased that it doesn't yet seem to slip at all). The adjustments (height, tilt, lumbar support) are all easy to adjust and stay adjusted once set.My wife actually likes the way it looks (when you have a shared home office, that can be an issue if your "partner" does NOT like it).The casters (wheels) are very good quality and don't give me problems rolling across the computer room floor which as hardwood, floor protectors, and an oriental carpet with which to contend. (It doesn't like the 1/2" inch jump to get up onto the carpet, but I added a home-made ramp (a short wedge) which lets it get up onto the carpet if I back up far enough to go onto the capet. The finish is holding up nicely.CONs:There aren't many to be honest and they're mostly nit-picking.The lowest height adjustment may be too high for shorter desks (not a problem to me, but it might be for you).(This one is just nit picking ...) At this cost, I would like to have three "features" it doesn't have (but which I think it should). There is no "seat" front-to-back adjustability. Other big&tall chairs have that feature and I loved it on my previous chair. AND ...The angle of the seat relative to the back is not adjustable. Again other big&tall chairs have that feature and I loved it on my previous chair.OTOH that is my "previous" chair because the mechanism which connects the back to the seat failed. That might be connected to why such features are not available on this chair. The third "missing" feature is the tilt of the back of the chair. When I'm on a really pointless, never-ending a la Dilbert than the PHB meeting, I used to recline my old chair's back and relax for the duration of the pointless jabber. This chair doesn't tilt that far back and I miss the capability. As I said above, this item is just nit-picking and probably won't apply to you.I would definitely recommend this chair to anyone over 6' tall and/or over 250 lbs. My brother (6'5") finds it quite comforable and he's right at its weight limit - and the chair doesn't seem to mind (complain/fail/run screaming form the room) when he sits in it.FWIW I'd also buy it again. As I said, definitely recommendedT

Comfortable, but loud and not durable. Didn't last 4 months.
By Edward A. Provencher on Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2020
I've had this chair for about 4 months now, and I am just disappointed. When I received the chair, the packaging was open as if it had been dropped and the tape failed, but luckily all of the parts were still inside. The chair was less than intuitive to assemble. The included instructions aren't great, but thankfully I got it together. I didn't bother with the stock wheels because I only have carpet and those wheels simply don't work. I replaced them with some rollerblade-style wheels. The chair did sit taller than I would've liked at first, but as I used it, it sank in. The range of height adjustment isn't great, so if you're short you're probably not going to like this chair. The chair has been loud since the day I got it as well. Every time I leaned on it it would creak, and it got incredibly annoying after 1 week. I am a big guy, but this chair should not have trouble holding me up. Now, on to my biggest issue. After 4 months of regular use, the mechanism which holds the chair upright (the lean-back feature) has failed. I am no longer able to lean back in the chair without it fully adjusting backwards. This is unacceptable at this price point. I expected this chair to last me years based on the build quality I initially thought was good when I received it. Unless you're well under the weight limit and willing to spend $300 on a subpar chair that will break, do not buy this. I should've spent a bit more on something that would actually last.
