Works very well on hardwood floors for a spring clean. cost effective, easy to use!

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical that a $50 steam cleaner would be any good. Many list for 4-5X that much. I was wrong, this heats fast, dispenses a good shot of steam and is ideal if you want to do a deep clean of hardwood floors once or twice a year. If you are constantly steaming a very large area, then you would likely want a heavier duty cleaner with a bigger water reservoir, etc. If you have a normal sized house and use it occasionally, this is a great deal. It's also fairly small to store when not being used. Overall for my purpose, it's the ideal tool.

Underwhelming Performance
By Brooke on Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2025
Had a Shark Steam Mop (Light and Easy S3101?) for 10 years. Calcium buildup and two repairs later, she had to be retired. Bought this one thinking that the performance would be the same but it was not. The performance was underwhelming. You could probably get similar results with a spin mop or scrub brush and deterget. Most of the grime lifting (i've found) to be due to the scrubbing pads. The microfiber pad is both microfiber (white portion of pad) and scrubbing material (gray stripes). Since I have porcelain tile (living room and kitchen), I really need the steam power. The grime and dirt, in fact, do not completely lift with this pad. I needed to go back and forth a couple times because the steam and water wasn't enough, which ends up defeating the purpose of a larger water tank. It is also clear that Shark doesn't want you returning the product because they didn't include instructions for disassembling the handle, but it can be disassembled (thank you Youtube) for storage or, in my case, returns. For $50, it's probably fine for a small living area with wood or laminate or glazed tiles. If you have tile that you know grips dirt or have caked on grime you need to remove, try a different product.Pros:- lighter, more compact body and cord- stands on its own- larger water tankCons:- shorter cord; wasn't able to reach across my living room without an extension cord- doesn't get very hot- low steam production and poor water distribution (not ideal for tile or hard stains, maybe ok for wood or laminate)TLDR: Performance sits slightly better than a spin mop
