Delta Children Ladder Shelf

I love this shelf!!! I don't usually write a review but I contemplated getting it because of the mixed reviews, but let me break it down why I love this: Setting it up - it was a breeze. I might be lucky that I got 1 that all the holes are alligned, but mine fit like a glove. I did most of the setup myself. My husband helped me towards the end when multiple dowels have to fit in multiple holes. Instruction is straight forward, they gave a bag of extra parts (though I didn't even need them, but it's nice to have). Design - simple but nice. It kinda matches my existing nursery furniture. I got Carter series, crib and dressers, so the grey is a little off but not super noticable. Price - for the list price, it is a good deal, but I got this as an open box from Amazon warehouse for $55+ ... That's a steal!!! Kid friendliness - I like that the toy bin is accessible by my 9 months old son so he can learn to choose which toy he wants to play with. I left the books that he knows on the lower shelf and he was able to pull himself up and browse on his books as well. Some people complained that the material is cheap. I think they found the material on the softer side. This is not made of MDF with laminate over. This is made of soft wood, just like most of good baby furniture, so in case your baby is a heavy chewer, you don't worry that MDF will explode in your baby's mouth. Durability - too early too tell, but definitely shelf didn't break in half when I put books on it
