LectroFan Micro Sleep Sound Machine

When I first opened the Amazon box to find this small little package with this really tiny little item inside of it - I let out an audible sigh of disappointment. I was absolutely certain that there was no way such a small device could deliver acceptable sound quality. In order to provide a fair review, I decided to charge it up and try it out. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I turned the device on. The quality of audio coming from this little thing exceeds that of any number of larger, more expensive speakers. The sleep sounds are remarkable ranging from bright, white-noise sounds, deeper static sounds, one that sounds like a large fan in a warehouse, non-repeating, pulsing surf-type sound to a couple that mimic the blissfully relaxing hush of sitting in a quiet airplane. Hooking the device to my iPhone via Bluetooth was very simple and fast. The sound filled our large, high ceilinged, open-plan living room and kitchen with clean, rich sound so real it felt like the piano and strings were right there, next to us in the room. It felt almost as though you could touch them. The device charges very quickly. It only comes with a USB cord to charge with, so I simply use an extra iPhone power supply and plug it into the nightstand. I love that it takes up so little space. I can't say how many hours it would run without charging but it did last just fine two nights in a row without charging while we were in a hotel. In short - I would highly recommend this item to anyone wanting a high-quality sleep machine or simply looking for a portable external speaker for their smart phone that doesn't cost a fortune, weigh a couple pounds or sound like a drive-thru speaker. If you're thinking about buying this, you should probably just go ahead and get it. I can't imagine how any reasonable person could be disappointed in it.
