Love this vacuum!
By Margaret on Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2024
This is a great little vacuum. I've been using it on my pine floors and it really goes after the cat hair, stray pieces of cat food and tracked litter. It's easy to maneuver and clean. I really like being able to not only empty the canister easily but also wash it and the filter thoroughly. The battery charges very quickly and last an amazingly long time. It's easy to see with the green lights how much charge there is. This vacuum is not the best on a thick carpet but works well on thinner carpets and great on wood and tile floors.

WELL JUST YUCK
By Chipper on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2019
Update from first review below. well i'd def give Bissell a 5 star for the customer service. they immediately sent me a replacement head. now I will say that I really do like Bissell, and have had several products of theirs. however, i'm still sticking w/a one star mainly from what I said below. maybe this is a subjective thing, but I like to actually look forward to vacuuming...w/this thing I just don't. I have 2 other cordless vacs that seem to work better for me. both of those def have lower profiles and I can go under so many of my furniture pieces I have around here that that ram doesn't fit under. I find that the air ram doesn't pick up along the side nor many times crumbs ahead of it next to a wall. I can usually tilt my vac and it will puck up the side stuff on the hard floor that is next to the rug. so far, the edges and front aren't that great w/this thing. I think the suction of the Bissell is stronger than my other 2...yet that actually causes me problems w/small area rugs as I am constantly dragging them away from the area due to the suction. the others I have I can go closer to the edge before having to put my foot down to keep the small rug in it's place. I still am not enamored w/all the maintenance being at the head of the thing. you have to bend down to get the battery and the dust collector from the very bottom. I prefer both of those to be midline on the vac/the handle area. I understand the weight balance and all, that's why i'd never have a vac where the weight is at the top, but being in the middle still keeps the weight down below and w/the 2 other cordless vacs I have, I have no extra weight on my arm....maybe that's due to this thing being harder to push. so you have weight distribution versus how hard to push. for me, this vac is just harder to use. it is easy enuf to clean, but so far, i'm having too many strikes against the thing to keep it. I really do prefer my hoover air cordless and their lynx. i'm not sure how consumer reports listed this as number 1, I find too many issues. but that said, I do hope it is number one for some folks and may be exactly what they are looking for. and it is still harder to push than my other cordless...and the older you get...well your arm just gets more tired. i'm still a Bissell fan, but just not w/this product. ****************** ummm well...so far I've had it for 10 minutes and I am struggling. first the little red Velcro thing on the bottom of the head fell off. I pushed it back on...it fell off....now it's missing somewhere. the suction is good, but almost too good. it grabs a small rug way before the edge and you have to stop the vac. i can usually go up to like 5 inches of the edge of a small area rug before I have to stop and change the direction. however, my biggest complaint...and maybe this one is a lemon, but I can barely push it forward or backward. I mean both me and hubby are worn out. it looks like the front flap comes back onto the roller brush and makes it hard to move. also since the dust bin is kinda open when you lift it from the head you must be careful not to roll it to one side or all the sandy crap comes out. I am finding that the vacuum head doesn't go under near as many furniture items or other items I normally vac under. I have the hoover lynx (which I love) and the hoover air cordless. both of those fit way better under my table and couch than this air ram. I've sent an email re customer support to Bissell already. but crapola, seriously frustrated after 10 minutes just stinks. Bissell is sending me a new head for which I am grateful for...so excellent customer service. am hoping that will fix the issue. will update and hopefully will be able to make the rating higher.
