Aquariums Leveled Up
By MotherOFive on Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2025
My five children loved this so much and finally after five years we need a new one. 😊 Perfect for bettas and other small fish. A few tips we learned over the years: watch the water quality in the growing area, add more smaller rock of the same type to the top. To the Makers of this great teaching tool : it could be a little deeper/taller to hold more rock because the seeds sit too far from each other to make a thick carpet style growth, instead the seedlings have a tendency to grow spindly and sparsely like the three hairs on top of Homer Simpsons head. Either way, as it is, it was a hit for many years as it subtlety taught children how things so different can benefit each other. Introducing children to creative thinking can be a challenge and this was an exceptionally helpful tool to that end, in retrospect, I wish I had found it sooner so we could have had it longer.

Nice tank but not adequate if buying for a Betta
By J Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2025
The tank is sturdy and the idea of it being used to grow sprouts is really fun and creative. The filter for the aquaponics tank runs non-stop and is incredibly loud. The tank was located in a bedroom and could be heard from the hallway with the door closed. For a betta fish, you will most likely need a heater for the water which isn’t included. After adding one, the space quickly diminishes for the fish and the lid becomes offset due to the additional cord from the heater -the design of the tank and lid only leaves room for the space of one cord. Adding other things to the tank, like gravel, plants, and other accessories leaves almost no space for the betta fish to actually swim, which was a little disappointing, so I’d recommend a bigger tank for a betta fish. The concept is great and this tank could be useful for someone who does not mind the noise of the filter and is not looking to use it for a Betta fish.
