Pretty but butterfly backings are turning green...

Very pretty earrings but I'm not confident it will hold up longterm (they're fake costume jewelry after all). I have very sensitive skin and ears so I have to be careful what I wear jewelry-wise, but these so far do not irritate my ears too much which is a plus, but the butterfly backings are already eroding and turning green. I'm going to need to look for different backings.
