Dyson V6 Trigger Handheld Vacuum

I like this product but there is one major problem I have with Dyson. When reading the operating manual I noticed a cancer warning for the product and a suggestion in the manual that users wash their hands after use, which I thought was bizarre for a vacuum. Because we have an toddler at home this was a concern so I googled why this warning exists and it sounds like because of California's proposition 65 the manufacturer was forced to disclose that the product does contain compounds the cause cancer. I wanted to get a better idea of what parts of the vacuum had this compound (a few articles on the article suggested it was in the charging cord), so I emailed customer service. The customer service rep sent a link about which chemicals resulted in the warning, but after multiple email exchanges refused to disclose what part of the vacuum contained the chemicals. Eventually the representative just stopped responding to me! Given the reputation of the company i was very surprised. The item works as advertised but there is always a lingering concern in the back of my head now when I use it. Update: Even worse the battery died after a year. I bought a replacement battery and then that died after 3 months.
