Love Mine
By C. Sadowski, on Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2017
I did my homework before I bought this oven a month ago. I read, reread and read again all the descriptions and reviews that people left. Some of the cons that people wrote about are ridiculous such as the unit getting too hot. Let me state right here that this is an oven and ovens do get hot. Another con is that the finish wore off after using Easy Off to clean the unit. I don't recall the user manual recommending to use Easy Off to clean the oven so that shouldn't even be a con. Yet, another con is that the size of the recommended chickens to rotisserie is too small and it's difficult to find a 4 lb. chicken. That's not the manufacturers fault and it's ludicrous to even suggest it is. Btw, yes you can find chickens that small! I have used this oven just about every day since I received it and I love it. I have used almost every function on it too. It toasts beautifully and the convection feature really does cook things more evenly. I used the rotisserie to cook a prime rib on New Year's Day and it was delicious. Learning the proper temps and time to cook is more a learning process for me rather than it being about the oven. Like any new oven, you just need to get used to it. Two things I have found that I don't like and one is that when you put the rack on level 3, the oven door hook pulls the rack out when you open the door. It only pulls it out about an inch but I don't think it was designed that way since it doesn't happen when the rack is on the other levels. The other issue is the cooking tray that comes with the oven is easily stained. Since I bought the oven, I've covered it with aluminum foil, yet the pan still stains even on the bottom. My last toaster oven had the same issue so it's not just this oven. However, you'd think with a name like Cuisinart, we'd get a better made and durable tray to cook with. Also, yes the inside does get splattered with grease when you use the rotisserie but show me an appliance that wouldn't and I'll be first in line for it. If you wipe down the inside after cooking, grease build-up won't be an issue. Overall, this is a very good appliance and well worth the money. I'm glad I bought it.

Beware the not-so-nonstick coating!
By Shepherdess on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2017
I like this oven - would give it 5 stars but for two major isssues: inaccurate thermostat and not-so-nonstick coating. The oven gives the ready beep many minutes before it reaches the temperature set on the dial. And when it does, the temperature is always at least 25 degrees under the set temperature. Now, after four months use, my subjective impression is that it takes longer to get to the final temperature. If is failing, I hope it does so within the warranty period. The nonstick coating is a major flaw. I bought this oven because of the rotisserie feature. The grease spatter cannot be wiped off the next morning (grease spatter can be cleaned off immediately after use, but who wants to let dinner wait while the oven is cleaned?). In the bottom tray I let drippings go for several days, tried to use various workbench cleanup solutions. Finally used an abrasive cleaner, which removed the coating as well! When I first received the oven, I noticed tiny black spots in the coating. which suggests to me that this problem may be the result of a manufacturing defect. I advise new users to buy a SilPat liner for the pan. And use parchment paper when possible. I have not yet contacted Cuisinart customer service. Another reviewer on this site had a disapppointing experience with Cuisinart. I don't need more aggravation in my life right now! I have been a long time fan of Cuisinart products. I still have, and use, the CFP-9 I bought in 1977! But times have changed...after this expensive disappointment, I will use more caution when buying.
