This is a great laptop desk!

BRAVO! An amazing product for an amazing price and it held up a long time!!! I came back to purchase another of these lap desks. As I searched my Amazon order history to find this exact product, I couldn't believe I first purchased this in January, 2021. It's now May, 2025 and I'm purchasing another. We also purchased one for my husband in January, 2023 and his is still going strong. So... I work from home and I use my laptop EVERY SINGLE DAY, and ALL day long. This has gotten TONS of use. There wasn't enough padding in the front one to my liking, but I was easily able to tear the seam open, add more filling, and then sew it shut again. The issue for me, after ALL OF THIS TIME, is that it cracked in the middle on both sides L/R in the middle where you would grab it to move it. This seems to be a fault area. I glued it a couple of times, but just recently that area completely cracked eventually. STILL. For under fifteen bucks, and DAILY use, this thing lasted nearly 4 and 1/2 years!!! 10/10. My husband's still looks great after almost 2 1/2 years. I highly recommend this.

The Fold Out Laptop Ledge Is the Only Flaw
By ImagingExpert on Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2019
Overall, this lap desk is a great concept. The flaws that I found in it center around the little ledge tat is intended to hold your laptop from sliding onto your lap if you are using the lap desk in the other than flat position. The ledge looks as though the design concept was for it to "snap" in place to keep it from flipping out perpendicular to the main work surface. Unfortunately, the side snaps do not make contact with the ledge when closed. The result is that the ledge opens up whenever you carry the lapdesk in a vertical position. I am sure this will get caught on something and break off in short order. In order to keep this ledge in the closed position when not in use I am going to add a very small Velcro dot to hold it closed when not in use. The other issue with the fold out ledge is that it is too tall for modern, thin laptops like the Lenovo X1. As a result of it being too tall, the top edge digs into the palm of your hand and becomes very uncomfortable after a short time of typing. In order to make it comfortable to use for any period of time with a thin laptop, you should plan on shaving about a quarter inch off of the height. I hope the manufacturer will fix these two items, as I love the size and the adjustable incline work surface.
