Far Exceeded Expectations
By Couldntthinkofacreativename on Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2023
I ordered this frame 2 years ago ( November 2021) after my wooden box spring caved and I’m so happy I did! The materials are strong/durable and easy to assemble alone. After 2 years, I still don’t hear any noise (even with adult play time). The look is sleek and minimalist; however, I placed mine inside the shell that came with my headboard and it fit PERFECTLY! I’m 5’9” and like the height. The headboard frame nearly completely conceals it.It’s worth noting that I opted for this option after learning that I would not need to purchase a platform with it. I have a queen sized spring pillow top mattress and don’t experience many issues. If I sit on the corner of the mattress on any side, it tend to cave through the openings in the frame but ever so slightly (though it is a bit of a jump scare when it happens the first few time). For the price, I couldn’t have asked for a better product.

Loud

I bought this frame about a year ago and I regret it. It’s a sturdy frame and looks nice if that’s the aesthetic you’re going for. But it is incredibly squeaky despite everything being tightened. It makes noise just when rolling over, and is crazy loud during physical activity such as when playing Twister or jumping. This is disappointing because I was specifically looking for a frame with metal slats because I don’t like how easily wood slats break and I thought this would be a good solution.I also realized I don’t like the look of it because it’s just boxy and sterile-looking and I like more of a relaxed vibe. I don’t care to look back at the other reviews, but I think I recall a couple reviews that complained about the frame being a little too large for the mattress and complaints about hitting legs when walking by the frame. The cal king frame fits my cal king mattress perfectly and doesn’t stick out past the mattress. I’ve also never hit my leg on the frame. Also, I bought the frame because I thought it would be nice to store boxes under because it is so tall. However, it’s so tall that you can see all the way under so storing boxes would just look bad. And I can’t think of a bed skirt solution that won’t look like I’m a grandma. I guess that’s my fault for not thinking about that though. The upside of the height is that I like that the mattress is about up to my pelvis without needing to use a box spring (I’m 5’4”). My dog also loves to hang out under it like it’s his man cave. I put his bed underneath it so it’s like we have bunk beds. All in all, I would keep it if not for the squeakiness. I’m on Amazon now to look for another frame because of the noise alone. I’m not sure how people are saying it makes no noise. They must not play Twister.
