Story yea Solid yes Easy to assemble? Yes and the tools they include are perfect! Thinking you want as a platform bed? No box spring? That is a NO. I put a futon six inch solid mattress on it and the first person to lay across it said ouch. I slept on it and all night long all you feel are the bars of the frame. I’ll be finding a piece of plywood to slide on top and hope that helps even things out. Weight of less than 100 pounds and maybe your mattress wont fall into the cracks. It doe not function as a platform bed but is definitely solid and easy to put together.
