Great Lil Step For The Lil Grand Daughter!! Hope She Approves??

This stool is the perfect height for our Toddler to use as she continues to grow. It is very sturdy and a bit heavy (which I like). It was fairly easy to put together and understand the directions. I wouldn't recommend to someone if their toddler is not comfortable with stairs as it would be very easy to lose balance and fall off. The quality of the wood and materials is great. I know we will use this for many years to come!

This is a high quality stool that we have used for a few years, however there is one shocking concern. Our child missed the step down and got their foot caught against the backside wood connector under the steps. Somehow it has a very sharp edge and scraped the top layer of skin off the bottom of the big toe causing a lot of bleeding. We will now need to sand the edges of this inside piece of wood so it’s no longer dangerous. I wish this company had the foresight to make their product safe and took in to account that a child may accidentally step on it incorrectly.

These are the best step stools. At first I bought the little plastic ones, you know the character ones..those slide, they flip my kid always fell off them...so I looked at reviews tried out the Melissa & Doug..game changer! They don't slide, they have a gripper tape for the bottom, the steps are wide. I added tub stickers also from amazon..my kid loves it. He usually has socks on so I got the tub grip stickers someone else said was a trick..great idea! If you have more than one kid, get them each a stepper.

Great quality and easy to put together. However, it came with a chip in the paint that’s very visible.

I previously got a similarly highly rated step stool from another lesser known company. It’s a good looking stool but their customer service never responded to my email asking for missing tape, so I decided to try this product. I was worried seeing the reviews about the paint chips, but luckily that didn’t happen to me. I was very careful in handling though just in case. The assembly was super easy, I loved that it had grooves. Even though I messed up on a few steps (didn’t have enough coffee this morning), it was very easy quick fix. I purchased the anti-slip tape based on the reviews. My kids aren’t home yet, so can’t speak to the performance, but it seems like a sturdy stool with good weight! I did take off a star, because I think the paint job could have been better. But it is not a deal breaker!
