Great for big batches that are hard to stir

The first time I used this it was to stir a large batch of roasted Poblano mac n cheese. it's usually difficult to get the pasta, cheese and peppers mixed together with a regular wood spoon. This spoon is big and sturdy and made it easy. I have arthritis and this is now my goto spoon for anything hard to stir.

Won't stand up to much hard use

You get what you pay for in this case I think. It may be a fine spoon for very light, tender care usage. I admit, I was a bit rough with it .... but still, kind of standard kitchen use. On the first day of use the handle broke and already there was a chip in the edge of the bowl of the spoon - which I found later in the food while eating. I'm looking for a wooden spoon like my grandmother might have used. I assume I'll be paying a lot more. Be aware of what you want when you buy this.
