The first one we received had an enamel defect near one of the handles, but the replacement was perfect and arrived the next day. The braiser is the perfect size for a family of 3 - 4. All the fancy name brands cost at least 4x the price for the same size. My wife has Le Creuset cast iron products and we can't tell the difference between them. This Crock Pot is a great value -- just be sure to check it for defects when it arrives!

I have purchased this item three times now as nice gifts. The first ones, both ordered in 2024, came in lovely, retail-style boxes. I had no problem wrapping them up nicely and presenting them. I was informed of a wedding shower on short notice and needed a good gift, so I ordered a third one, arriving just in time the night before the shower. It came in a brown box with the contents printed in green. That was the shipping box with my address on it. I opened it and found a plain brown box inside that, and so I assumed the nice retail-style pretty box was inside THAT one. Nope. Just the braiser, looking used and repackaged and NOT looking gift-quality. The crock is probably new? Maybe? I think? But I would be absolutely appalled to present that to someone at a nice party. Now I'm kinda up a creek. So...if the pot is for you, great, enjoy it. But don't risk buying it as a nice gift for someone else because the packaging is unpredictable--could be fine, could be awful.
