Cuisinart Griddler Refurbished with Waffle Plates Included - Awesome Deal
By Experienced Reviewer on Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2018
I had been using a panini maker to grill things indoor and was frustrated with the cleaning process, so I went searching for a grill that I could wash the plates in the dishwasher. I looked at all my options and to me this was the best deal. I figured going for the refurbished out would not only save me money but I ended up getting the waffle plates thrown in. It's funny I bought this for the griddle function but so far I am making waffles like crazy. I also have a belgium waffle maker that I also could not wash the plates. I am considering getting rid of it and my huge griddle. It makes great waffles and I think the griddle will make awesome pancakes or grilled cheese. So I end up getting rid of my panini maker waffle iron and griddle for one compact appliance that fits nicely in my cabinet. The appliance itself seems ok. If it was more expensive I might mark it down a star or two because the connectors for the plates are a bit delicate looking and feeling. Given the price though, I feel the quality is acceptable. I do think that the dials and controls are good. Temperature lights to let you know when it's up to the temperature. I am happy with my purchase. Thanks for reading my review Becky Brooks

It's fine, but I have some issues with the griddler. First off, It feels super cheap. I guess it was for what you get. The top plate does not heat as high as the lower plate. I get this, heat rises and the top plate is lower than the element.... This makes for uneven cooking, or you have to flip half way through. There are 2 temp controllers that seem to do the same thing. Flip left or right for temperatures or perceived hotness. Not sure why they couldn't do one and just print high/medium/low with the temperatures next to them. It makes a fine waffle, with good waffle hole size. Tops are always much lighter than the bottoms. To be fair... Not a bad feature with a waffle.
