Nice rack, great customer service

Please note that the outside of the box lists a significantly different assembled size than the one listed online. (To clarify, I don't mean a difference between assembled and unassembled/shipping size, as both descriptions are for assembled items.) In this case, the box I received listed the size of the shelf WITH the bottles on it (extending the size roughly 3" vertically, 6" horizontally, and 3" in depth), while the online description is for the empty shelf itself. After I realized the source of the discrepancy, I put the shelf together quickly and easily, and I like the finished product a lot. It seems sturdy and looks nice and simple. We have a kitchen desk that never really worked great with a chair, so we used part of the space underneath for this rack, but it looks nice enough to leave freestanding as well. SONGMICS contacted me within 48 hours after my first review regarding size discrepancies; I had already realized what was going on at that point (and tried to update but the update apparently didn't "take") but appreciate their efforts to assist. Very good customer service.

It ain’t pretty, but it’ll keep your booze off the floor.

My wife and I bought this because our booze was on the floor. Now it isn’t. I guess I shouldn’t complain. By the way, these other reviews are mind boggling. One guy trashed the thing because it didn’t come with an instruction manual. I’m sorry, but if you can’t look at the contents of this box and figure out how to put it together on your own, you don’t need any more wine. You need a nap. And what’s with everyone calling this thing “elegant?” It is not. It is functional. This is utilitarian at best. The “sleek” stickers they sent to cover the screw holes had artificial wood grain on them despite the fact that there’s no grain (artificial or otherwise) in the particle board from which it’s made. Still, it was advertised as a wine rack that costs about twice as much as a palatable bottle of wine, and for that price, you shouldn’t expect a particularly high level of craftsmanship or materials.
