Excellent! As close to a perfect clean as you can get!
By Alexandra Prince on Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2018
I own a Pilates & Fitness studio that is 2100 sq. ft. of nearly all wood flooring. Mopping the floor is a major undertaking and must be done frequently due to the foot traffic -AND- the high volume of bare foot/hand contact and sweat from daily fitness/Pilates classes. I only wish I had found this device sooner! Here's what I experienced: THE FLOOR MUST BE PROPERLY PREPARED I started with a thorough sweeping followed by running a vacuum cleaner along the edges, corners, and tough-to-reach spots. Same routine I do before mopping with my twist mop. If you are not going to take this step, you will not have good results. The steam mop is not a broom or vacuum, and does not pick up sediment or debris. THE FLOOR WILL HAVE AN INITIAL LAYER OF GRIME THAT MUST BE DEALT WITH A standard twist mop and bucket of water will only accomplish so much and, after years of cleaning this way, the floor had a reasonable layer of mop residue that had to come up in addition to the surface simply needing to be cleaned. I only mop with a mixture of water, tea tree oil, isopropyl alcohol, and vinegar I make myself. If I had been using a detergent or soap based cleaner, I expect the mop residue would have been substantially worse. I also mop regularly, so the dirtiness of the floor is not from neglect but rather general every-day-use. If you don't mop regularly, it's going to take more than one pass with the steam mop to deal with what's sitting on top of your floor. COMPLAINTS OF THE STEAM MOP "PUSHING DIRT AROUND" I noticed in areas of heavy foot traffic the steam mop head did leave a small amount of dirt/dust that would trail in a neat line across the floor as I mopped. I could also feel resistance in the sliding of the mop across the floor increase in these areas, which required a little more strength to push through and, after a few passes, would give way to normal sliding of the steam mop. This leads me to believe that the dirt/dust that was trailed by the steam mop was actually dirt/dust that became adhered to the floor surface over time which the steam mop efficiently loosened. Additionally, the dirt/dust that was left behind was easily picked up by the vacuum and, upon another pass over the floor with the steam mop, did not present a second time. EASE OF USE: AVERAGE PHYSICAL FITNESS REQUIRED The steam mop was out of the box, assembled, and put to work in a matter of five minutes. The fabric piece that attaches to the mop head to clean the floor takes about 30 seconds to become wet enough to move freely across the floor. At this point, it does take some physical effort to move the steam mop across the floor; it is essentially a wet rag on a stick being pushed across the floor so there is some resistance that requires average physical fitness. Comparatively, I found that it was the same physical effort required by my twist mop when factoring in wringing out the twist mop repetitively. MAJOR SCORE IN FAVOR OF THE STEAM MOP: I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could effectively and efficiently operate and maneuver the steam mop ambidextrously... this is something I can not do with the twist mop which leads to repetitive single-sided body movement that always leaves my back sore and aching. INITIAL OVERALL PERFORMANCE: FIVE STARS I used the steam mop in two back-to-back passes of the entire floor. The first pass I really took my time to work through the initial residue I knew was on the floor and used four of the fabric mop head attachments in doing so. The second pass I moved briskly over the entire floor (the same pace I would use if I was vacuuming the floor) and only used one fabric mop head cleaner. (See picture for comparison of what the steam mop picked up both times.) The steam mop ran for a solid four hours without incident and I used just under a gallon of water for the entire cleaning. The fabric mop head attachments did not bunch or fail. THE MOST INCONVENIENT ASPECT OF USING THE STEAM MOP was navigating the cord and can be compared to the same inconvenience of navigating a vacuum cord when vacuuming... so, not a substantial inconvenience. Second to that was stopping periodically to refill the water reservoir. The refill cup that comes with the mop makes this super easy so, again, not a substantial inconvenience. FINAL STEAM MOP VS. TWIST MOP CONCLUSION: STEAM MOP CRUSHED IT! After using the steam mop, the floor is ridiculously clean; it has likely never been cleaner. It is literally "squeaky clean"... my shoes squeak as I walk across the floor. The steam mop did not leave water stains on the floor (like the twist mop did) so the final finish is amazingly bright and shiny as seen in the photos I've included. I will likely only ever use my twist mop again for dealing with large water spills (from dropping a bottle of water or the occasional plumbing issue). WORD OF ADVICE: Definitely get extra fabric mop head attachments. The steam mop comes with only one. After reading reviews before purchasing, I decided to buy an extra two packs of fabric mop head attachments which turned out to be the perfect amount for this initial cleaning. I will likely only need two-to-three for future cleanings but glad to have the extras on hand just-in-case.

I've Owned Two of These Steamers - Both Stopped Working after Light Use
By jesseinphilly on Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2020
I've been an Amazon shopper for more than 20 years, and this is the first time I've felt motivated to post a negative review. I purchased my first Light 'N' Easy Steam Cleaner in August 2018. It worked very well . . . until it stopped working in April 2019. I had used it only about 10 times, and then it simply wouldn't function. (Specifically, when I plugged it in, it would make some noise but not generate steam.) I emailed the manufacturer and, to its credit, I received a response within a few days. I was asked to send a video of what was happening when I attempted to use the steamer. I did so, and the manufacturer apologized for the inconvenience, and sent me a new steamer in about a week. At that point, although my first steamer was clearly defective, I would have given high marks all around. After all, if a company manufactures thousands and thousands of any given product, there's bound to be a lemon or two. (I certainly make plenty of mistakes!) Also, the manufacturer seemed to "own" the issue, which I thought was refreshing and commendable. I used my replacement steamer a total of about a dozen times until a few days ago (September 22, 2020), when it once again stopped working. Again I emailed the manufacturer and, in anticipation of being asked, I again included a video of the malfunction in progress. (I've included that video with this review.) This time, the manufacturer responded by saying that it was "sad" that this happened, but that because the 1-year warranty on the replacement steamer had expired, there was nothing it could do to remedy the situation as it could not go against its policy. It did offer to provide me with six free cleaning pads if I agreed to purchase another Light 'N" Easy Steamer. Based on the positive reviews, it's clear that there are many satisfied Light 'N" Easy customers out there. As for me, the facts are that: (1) I've owned two; (2) both worked well for a short time, and then stopped working after no more than a dozen uses; and (3) the manufacturer chose to stand behind its policy, but not its product. As for me, I'm going to go with a different brand next time, perhaps a Bissell or a Shark Steam.

As a new mother and complete germ freak I LOVE THIS MOP! I can NOT believe it took me this long to buy one. If you are anything like me and you have looked at several mops and gone through countless reviews, just stop now and buy this one. I can't tell you how it compares to other steam mops, but it doesn't matter because this one does everything you need it to. It is super easy to assemble (just clicks in place), and super easy to use. To all of you who are debating whether this is really necessary or not I can tell you it's not necessary, however, it will make your life SO MUCH EASIER. I have tried everything from a Swiffer, to one of those velcrow microfiber pads, to getting down on my hands and knees with a scrub brush... NEVER AGAIN!! This steam mop does it all and ten times better. The best news? It does it all without any harsh chemicals. As a new mom I was stressing over the fact that my daughter was crawling all over our kitchen tile floor and then putting her hands in her mouth. I would cringe when someone walked in our house with shoes because I knew I would have to go through the process of mopping all over again and even then how much was the Swiffer really getting up? So I would try using a microfiber pad with a homemade Vinegar solution (insert eye roll here). It left a residue on my hardwood floors and smelled awful. Well, this steam mop is the answer to all my concerns. I was able to mop all of my floors in less than 10 minutes and that includes set up and storing it afterwards. I couldn't believe the amount of dirt it was able to pull up and does it all with JUST STEAM. Thats right.... water is the only thing you need for this steam mop and it kills 99.9% of germs and bacteria. Then you just take the reusable pad off, wash, and reuse. Do you have food that has been stuck on your kitchen floor for weeks? Just let the steam mop sit over it for about 10 seconds and it comes right up. I know, it seems silly that I am gushing over a steam mop, but I'm telling you... it's one of those products that you just can't believe you didn't know about sooner. And if I haven't convinced yet, then let me just add this. This steam mop also comes with attachments so it can be used on other surfaces like shower doors and bathtubs and it has an attachment to be used as a clothes steamer. I know what you're thinking.. who is paying this lady to write this review. The answer is no one. I am writing this review for all the people like me who look to reviews to make the best decision when buying something for my family. $100 isn't necessarily cheap, but I know I will get every pennies worth. Hope this review helps!

I opened it as soon as I received this steam mop. Feels durable and the heat/steam works great. I did read all the reviews before purchasing so I did buy extra Micro Fiber Pads like another review suggested. Believe me they came in real handy so I suggest getting a few extra for yourself also. It's unbelievable all the grime that will come off. The steam mop did as I expected, it deep cleaned my floors. You could feel the warmth of the floor as you go over it. Got rid of some stubborn spots and some candle wax that had dripped from a scentsy very easily. The only con I can think of is the water tank is pretty small I did have to refill it a few times so I could finish my kitchen, living room and hall way. I did have it on the highest steam setting so maybe that was why. Another con, if I could call it that, is that although my laminate flooring felt absolutely great and clean for the first time in forever it didn't look too great. There were streaks and it looked hazy, BUT it could be the tap water I used, or my floor sucks. I will use distilled water this weekend and see if that makes any difference. Even though I'd like to have gorgeous floors I'd much prefer the cleanliness that this steam mop provides. I have a very busy household with kids coming in with dirty cleats and lots of friends over, a hubby and his work boots and a dog running around. So after I mopped, it truly felt like a little piece of heaven on Earth. Yea I know weird, but a clean house makes me feel so happy lol I work full time and there is no time to use a traditional mop that requires so much elbow grease to get it even a quarter as clean as it did with the steam mop. It's light, took under 2 minutes to put it together and cleans with ease! You just can't go wrong with this purchase. Work smarter not harder!

I've had this steamer for a couple weeks. I wanted to clean a few times before I reviewed it. This steamer works very well!! I'm happy with it. It very light,, glides easily and is easy to maneuver around the room. Note: if the pad gets to dirty you will experience some resistance. I washed the pad out in the sink between rooms, and put it back on. It does leave the floors a bit wet, but they dry quickly with no streaks. The floors feel clean and passed the white sock test. The cord gets in the way a bit because it's attached to the bottom of the unit, but I finally seen a little small clip toward the top that it can be clipped to that keeps it out of the way. Once you stop cleaning and stand the unit up it will continue to emit steam for about 2 or 3 seconds. This will leave a wet spot where ever you leave it standing so its advisable that you stop and place it on a pad so you don't have to clean up the spot. It only comes with one cleaning pad, so you will need to purchase extra. The cleaning pad are very thin and I do wish they were a bit thicker, but I imagine anything thicker might not allow the steam to penetrat as easily. All in all it has been a good choice and worth the money. It got me up off my hands and knees so thats a double plus.

So happy with this steam mop! After having another steam mop in my cart for a few months I decided to look again at my options and ultimately decided this one was the best choice based on the reviews and versatility. It arrived a day earlier than expected with free shipping (seriously arrived the day after ordering it) which made me really happy. I love the simplicity of assembly, took less than 5 minutes! Used it today for the first time and this steam mop worked wonderfully. I was using an old shark steam mop previously and while it did it’s job it was a very uneven clean and you could see streaks on the floor after I was done mopping. This light n easy mop impressed me with how even it mopped my tile flooring and there were no streaks afterwards! I did a paper towel test afterward on the floor to test how much dirt it actually got up and it did a really good job, the paper towel did not show much left, it was almost still clean. I have not had a chance to use the attachments yet but I plan to steam my vehicle seats soon and will add to this review with those results. I don’t think I could have chosen a better steam mop! I have steamed my vehicles seats and I must say I am satisfied with the results, the photos are of just one go-through with the steamer, I used the hose and small brush attachment. I found that the triangle shaped attachment doesn’t really do much for the upholstery in the car, but it did work well for the dirt around the doors. I did find that the hand held activatior on the handle does not always recognize that you’re holding the handle, which stops the steam from escaping and that did get annoying very quickly because it happened multiple times but I’m still happy with this product, nothings perfect!

I spent an hour reading reviews to determine the best steam mop to buy. I decided to buy the Light n Easy despite it not being a brand name. I had a Shark steam mop several years ago that broke within 6 months, so I didn't think I had much to lose. The mop arrived quickly and was easy to put together. I couldn't wait to try it out. Here's my assessment of it after cleaning all of the floors, steps and bathrooms in my house with it. Pros: I do like that it has the handy attachment that allows you to clean showers and wood stairs, I just wish the hose was longer. Really like that the unit stands on its own and you don't have to lay it down when moving furniture or moving to another plug. CONS: I much prefer the pocket pad on the Shark. This has a very thin microfiber like cloth that velcros on. It easily gets buckled up or bent up on the corners. There isn't much to the pad so it quickly gets dirty and needs to be replaced to be effective. This is a fairly heavy unit and by the end of my cleaning my arm was worn out. I stop and start frequently, moving chairs etc out of the way and overtime I would stand the unit up to stop, I would have to reselect the High setting to get started again. I found that annoying. When doing 3 flights of stairs, I found it frustrating that the unit had to be held at a certain angle or it would stop steaming. Very small hole to fill the water tank. You definitely have to use their cup. For the money and the pieces you get, its not a bad buy if you don't mind some of the feature flaws. It did clean satisfactorily. I am not going to return it, however if I were buying another one, I would look harder at some of the more expensive models to see if they have improvements over these short comings. Also, be sure to buy additional clothes as the ones that come with it become dirty very quickly and seem to stop picking up much. The replacements are way expensive for what they are. If you have super thin microfiber towels they would probably work just as well.

I bought this because my pup kept picking up giardia in my complex. Anyone who has experience with giardia knows the biggest factor is cleaning and sanitizing after. After our 3rd run of meds, I decided I needed something to really clean inside but I wanted it to be pet safe. I was worried about chemicals causing issues with her and any lingering smell to negatively impact her. Since we do a lot of training and nose work, I needed my floors to be truly sanitary so I can work on this with peace of mind that she isn't picking up giardia after tracking it in. Also, keep in mind I've only had this for 2 days now. Pros: It's ready to go really quickly, easy to assemble, easy to use once (pro tip: for it to turn on, you have to tilt to get ready to use; having it in the standing position will keep it on standby mode), and cleans up really well. After sweeping and using my Wet Jet, I decided to use the steam mop and I was surprised at how dirty the towel was even after using the Wet Jet. The attachments are also helpful for getting anything else you might need and since the main unit is detachable, it's easy to clean around the house. I also purchased the carpet glider and used it on an area rug, think it worked well but that's a little harder to distinguish. The machine is pretty quiet which means I can clean up the apartment while the pup naps and not create too much disturbance. Lastly, one of those weird minute details, the way the cord wraps up it easily clips back to keep the cord nice and neat. Cons: the water tank is small so it lasts for about 20 minutes. I have a 700 sq ft apartment with laminate flooring, except for the carpet in the bedroom, and refilled twice to cover the living room and kitchen. If you have a house, expect to refill for every room you work on. You can see how much water is left in the tank while cleaning but you have to pay attention. It would be nice if there was an indication of it running low on water (sound or a light), so you don't have to worry about burning out the motor. Also, the way to refill it comes with a special bottle so you don't want to loose that otherwise you'll have a hard time refilling the tank.

I waited to write this so I could give a long-term review. I’ve had this mop for almost 2 years now, and I’m still very happy with it. It’s basically a steam iron reconfigured into a mop, emitting steam onto the floor to loosen dirt and sanitize it. The damp pad picks up the loose dirt with no chemicals. Works great. That said, here are a few issues to be aware of: 1. First and most importantly, the cord is WAY too short. My advice: Use an extension cord AND place the unit’s back against a wall when you pause cleaning. The mop is very light but top-heavy and will fall over backwards at the slightest tug, potentially damaging the internal components. I think this happened to a lot of people who say the unit stopped working, because it happened to me. The first mop I bought fell over several times and started emitting steam intermittently, so I emailed the company at the address listed in the manual. Some people said they had problems contacting customer service but for me they responded quickly. They asked for a short video showing the problem (which didn’t seem an unreasonable request), and then immediately sent out a new unit at no cost. This was a month before the warranty expired, so A+ on customer service. 2. The owner’s manual is hilariously unhelpful. It was clearly written or translated by someone whose first language is not English. For the most part you can figure it all out, but it also doesn’t help that the pages are printed in the wrong order (maybe they’ve fixed this by now). 3. You need to vacuum first. The mop doesn’t pick up anything, it just removes dirt. 4. Buy lots of extra pads. Our house has around 1,500 sq. ft. of tile and I use 8 pads. Of course this depends on your situation, but if you don’t replace a dirty pad with a clean one you end up just streaking dirt across the floor. If you have dogs, like us, you’ll definitely need those extra pads. 5. I fill the reservoir 4 or 5 times for 1,500 sq. ft., so I get roughly 300-400 sq. ft. of cleaning per fill. 6. It’s helpful to dampen the pad with warm water first. This isn’t a must, but otherwise the steam has to saturate the pad before it will work properly. 7. If you live in an area with hard water, best to use distilled water. 8. You shouldn’t need to use any other cleaning solutions, the steam alone does a great job. But if you do want a little extra cleaning power it’s probably safe to spray a light solution onto the floor and mop it. Only water should go in the reservoir. 9. As I mentioned, we have dogs. Because the mop uses only steam and there’s no fragrance added, the house smells a little “doggy” for a few hours after mopping. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of. 10. Lastly, a minor ergonomic annoyance: the oval handle is just awkward. There seems to be no right place to grasp it, which is unsettling when you know dropping it can damage the unit. I don’t use the handheld attachment or carpet guide, so I can’t comment on those. All in all, in my experience this is a great little mop and well worth the $100. Hope this is helpful. Happy cleaning.
Cleans floors very well! Steam is very adequate!

This is the first Steam mop I have owned. I chose it because of its marketed versatility. I needed something for not only my floors but furniture and smaller tighter areas as well. And I have not been disappointed. I have only used it a couple times but it definitely cleans my floors very well. The product is of very good quality. Here is a list of pros and cons I have compiled. I will update once I can attest further to its durability and longevity. Pros: it is very versatile, durable, well made product. The settings are "low," "med," "high," which are nice. The rectangle pads on the bottom stick well and don't allow for the plastic of the mop head to scratch or lay onto the floor like in another review I read - I haven't washed the pad yet though, so that could change. The cord length is adequate but could be longer. The entire mop itself is super light weight (as expected), sleak design and comfortable to hold. And adequate to navigate. Cons: like I said, the cord length could be a little longer. The navigation of the entire system is stiff.. sometimes the head doesn't veer left or right very easily (one handedly) when navigating through corners, along edges, or around furniture. And the mop pads could be a little thicker, but seem adequate do to the job. They could be designed like the attachment head that comes with it where the elastic stretches up over the head of the mop. None of these cons are deal breakers for me. It is still an excellent product. The last complaint I have is about the user manual. You can tell that it is not from an English-speaking country, which is not the issue... but the first page of the manual started with the number 10. And the last page of my manual ended with number 5. Even reading it in sequential order, it did not make sense, reading it from front to back didn't make sense. Most of the information in the booklet was adequate but not all encompassing. Many products that I buy are made in other countries and still take the time to make sure I can adequately read their manuals. That would be awesome if this company could do the same because they have a great product!
