800 TC 100% Egyptian Cotton Sheets

This is the second time I purchased these sheets. The first time I was impressed but four years later I had to order a replacement. The sheets ended up developing a large hole/tear in them where my feet are. My guess is that I’m kicking in my sleep but I never noticed before. I also never had this issues with any other sheets. I thought four years was an ok time frame but not great. I tend to replace them every 4-5 years anyway to change things up and have new clean sheets. I bought another set, since I assumed the issue was caused by me, but I’m not impressed with the new set at all. In the picture you can see the older pillow case (larger) and then the newer one (smaller). What used to easily fit a pillow now barely does and will have a pillow stick out if it’s not perfectly on the pillow and not moved in any way the sheets are the same. I used to have a good amount extra to easily tuck all sides in. These new ones just barely fit over my queen mattress. I have to have perfect placement to be able to tuck all sides in with about an inch of sheets or less. Seems like even sheet are affected by shrinkflation. At this point I’ll keep using them but I’m planning to use my old pillow cases. When these sheets need to be replaced, I’ll be buying a different brand.
