The Freightliner of carseats! Narrow, well-built, and HEAVY!

This is an amazing car seat. But it is HEAVY. We have used it in conjunction with other carseats and boosters and it fits remarkably well when sandwiched between other boosters. We have successfully used it traveling by plane, but if you do that we would suggest you get a Mac Sports Collapsible Folding Outdoor Utility Wagon to haul it around the airports; did I mention this carseat is HEAVY? I seriously think this thing weighs 50lbs. It is a comforting thought to know our child is in something with such a solid build. Depending on your vehicle and whether or not it has an easily accessible latch system in place will dictate how hard you think it is to put in; but generally we find it very simple. We really like the latch mechanism, because the release button is actually accessible once the seat is installed without having to shove your hand between the two portions of the vehicle seat. No more digging to find the release button!Just remember, this thing is not your typical plastic, buy it from a box store carseat.

I have 4 of these seats. For the first year, I would have said they were great. Now, I know they are dangerous and this company has absolutely no interest in fixing this. My second issue came almost at the same time. I ordered 4 more on the black Friday sale. I have this order screenshotted. It shows I bought 4 radian 2AX car seats, all plum. The next morning, it said 2 red and 2 oyster shell. Their site was crashing that whole event as they were not prepared. Next day, I checked again. They told me I ordered baby carriers, split my order in 2 and charged shipping. I called, I emailed and never got a response. I did get a survey asking what I thought from my experience. Since noone answered, I said poor. At the same time I took my other seats out to detail my van and realized the piece that makes them sit backwards cracked. On ALL FOUR. Professionally installed (and I have had many seats fostering over the years and never have seen this) and in an Odyssey. Again I called, horrified my seats were UNSAFE. NO CALL BACK. I got an email saying sorry they employ only 3 customer service reps. Noone will call back. Ive gotten one person once. Her name was Jessica. I got 2 emails essentially saying too bad. Ask me if they have returned my money for things they stopped the order on. 3 weeks later, nope. The one time they answered was to tell me they would not because they accidentally shipped the order I cancelled. My seats are 12 months and 2 weeks old. They will not replace the bases. So now they have my money for "carriers " I never bought and 4 defective seats. I have never written a negative review. I used to tell people the seats were great, despite being ludicrously heavy, hard to install and no easy adjustable straps like all the other high end brands. Go with a safe and reputable company. I wish I had moved these seats even one day sooner. Who knows how long they were like this! A child will one day be seriously injured and good luck having them stand up for their product or make it right.
