I own multiple as this is A Must-Have for Pantry Organization The OXO Good Grips POP Container – Big Square Medium (4.4 Qt) is a standout product for anyone looking to keep their pantry organized and ingredients fresh. Designed to hold up to a 5-pound bag of flour or sugar, this container combines functionality with sleek design. 🧱 Design & Build Quality Crafted from BPA-free plastic, the container boasts a sturdy build that ensures durability. Its square shape maximizes storage efficiency, allowing for easy stacking and space optimization in your pantry. The clear body provides visibility, so you can quickly identify contents. 🔒 Airtight Seal One of the standout features is the airtight seal. The push-button mechanism creates a secure seal, keeping your dry goods fresh longer by preventing air and moisture from entering. This is particularly beneficial for items like flour and sugar, which can clump or spoil when exposed to air. 🧼 Ease of Use & Cleaning The container is designed for convenience. The push-button lid is easy to operate, allowing for quick access to contents. For cleaning, the container is top-rack dishwasher safe, making maintenance hassle-free. However, it's recommended to hand wash the lid to preserve the airtight seal. ✅ Pros: Airtight seal keeps contents fresh Clear body for easy visibility Dishwasher safe for easy cleaning Space-efficient design Ideal size for 5-pound bags of flour or sugar ⚠️ Cons: NONE besides, the lid should be hand washed to maintain seal

The lid has changed (for the worst)
By Travis Van Slooten on Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2025
I bought these Oxo containers several years ago but unfortunately I dropped one and it cracked so I had to buy a replacement. Oxo has radically changed the lid in the past few years. Like everything these days, they made the lid cheaper and I question just how airtight these containers are now. The old lids would shut so tight that you couldn't remove them unless you pushed the button on the lid to release the lid. The new lid can be easily removed without pushing the button. In other words, it doesn't lock tight like the old lids did. When you take the lid apart, you can see how cheaper it is made. The lids now have a flimsy silicon lining that you remove with a thin cheap piece of plastic over it. The old lids had a permanent thick silicon edging around the bottom part of the lid. The old lids had two solid parts and now the new lid has 3 flimsy parts. Bottom line, I'm sure these new lids still do a decent job of keeping the air out but they are not nearly as airtight as the old lids.
